We went to Alba Chiara as Da Vittoria was fully booked (and they seemed happy to tell us this since we were probably looking a bit scruffy). However, I didn't really want to pay €16+ for a main course (without sides) so that was just as well. Main meals at Alba Chiara were €7-12 and sides (contorno) were around €3-4 but enough for 2 people. I had the veal with pizzaiola sauce, sliced fried potatoes and spinach and it was fine, very tasty. The house wine was ok, only about €7 for half a litre so you don't expect anything special. The waitress was very charming and welcoming which really made our visit worthwhile. We sat in the front part of the restaurant which was quieter and cooler and were glad about this when we realised it was karaoke night in the main part (it was Saturday night)!
