We drove to the beautiful walled city of Montagnana on a day trip. Our guide book mentioned the restaurant Aldo Moro as a good place for a moderately priced lunch so we gave it a try. We were seated in the garden and just had the most wonderful lunch! The service was excellent, to the point that our water was able to speak a bit of English. He suggested local specialties, helped us decide on a good bottle of wine, and explained that Montagnana is noted for its prosciutto. We had an appetizer of melon and prosciutto and it was delicious. The rest of our meal was just wonderful! Each plate was worthy of a photograph, artfully arranged. When we said that we didn't have room for dessert, the chef came out with two simple, beautifully arranged fresh fruit, cream, and gelato plates complimentary. If you ever are in this area, definitely visit this fine Italian restaurant. You won't be disappointed.
