This is one that kind of places where you should go but only to experience and only once. The hotel is too expensive considering the what is said and what you get and we didn't like the restaurant as much as we thought it could be possible.

Nice hotel and location. Only problem: no door in the wc. Quite uncomfortable if you share the room with someone else! Only a glass door to enter the toilet. If you are seating in the toilet, the person sharing the room with you can see you!

Had to make a change to my reservation which would have extended my stay, they insisted on charging a penalty of one night plus tax. So, instead of accommodating our need and using business sense they opted to loose my current and future business. Spain will be nicer to stay in.

This hotel is located right in the centre of the town next to the square. From the outside this building looks to be an old fashioned hotel but once inside it is a modern fresh design, the rooms are spacious and the showers fantastic. The hotel restaurant offers a great selection of local produce and a great selection of local wines , port and gin.

We had great expectations about this new hotel in Caminha - great location, presumably great concept... but were disappointed by the lack of attention to details in what is the priciest hotel in Caminha. While the exterior facade retains all of the former grandeur of the building, the interior has been completely redone in a super modern way. One can agree or disagree with the style (sometimes a bit over the top, as in the "comics" room where the walls and ceiling are covered with comics characters staring at you while in bed), but one can't agree with the cheap nature of the renovation and the poor choice of materials; the bathroom are already rusting away in parts, the room doors to the patio have been replaced with door size windows mounted on an horizontal axis at mid height, making it impossible to leave them open and forcing the guests in this supposedly eco-friendly place to run the AC even in cool weather to keep the room ventilated, etc... It seems the architect was full of novel ideas but lacked practical experience. Add to that an indifferent service and you end up with a hotel concept that fails to meet expectations.
