“Beautiful location”
Reviewed 14 December 2017 for a stay in December 2017

The apartment is situated with a wonderful view over the river and marina.
The good points are the big balcony and the sun.Nearby shops bars and restaurants.
It was not clean enough to our standards.Windows and the oven were dirty, taps were leaking, wifi was not working. All cooking equipment is there but of bad quality.
We were surprised to have a full gaz bottle in the living room as a reserve. We mentioned all of this also to the host.

Management Response
25 Dec 2017
Thank you for your review. We re glad you enjoyed your stay. As with all rental properties there will always be natural wear and tear so as soon as the leaking tap was reported this was replaced. We leave a spare gas bottle behind the door so guests are not inconvenienced should the gas run out. WiFi is connected for all guests and checked prior to guest arrival. We have never had a problem before with cleaning previously but will review our checks to make sure our standards are maintained. Regards Paul and Debbie

We stayed 6 weeks, to escape the British winter. It is ideal, in the centre of town, yet quiet. Everything you need is in the apartment, and the central heating is very efficient (we had a couple of chilly weeks in early Feb)

“Should have been good but was disappointing.”

The apartment was ideally located right in the centre of Ayamonte. Secure entry with elevator to top floor. The layout was fine and the view from the balcony was beautiful. That's where the good ended. The flat was dirty. The kitchen bin still had debris in it and the dishes and shelves were dirty. The oven worked but the hob controls were taped up. The washing machine wouldn't work. The showers were hopeless, ensuite shower head too high and sprayed all over the room. Other shower head had to be hand held to shower. The balcony was filthy. I had to remove fag ends from plant pots and watered plants every day as they were dying from thirst. Plastic chair broken and we had to save my elderly father from falling off it. Melted wax from burnt out candles on windowsills. Advertised english tv channels which would have been good for my elderly parents. Factor said it was not legitimate. Ayamonte is a beautiful town and we really enjoyed watching the Fiestas de las Augustias while we were there. Oh we arrived about 9pm and had to go out and buy toilet paper as neither bathroom had as much as a single sheet of toilet paper! The apartment would have been good had it been properly maintained.

“Great place to stay and close to all amenities.”
Reviewed 11 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

The accommodation Was easy to book with good correspondence, met in the resort by agent and shown fount the apartment. The rooms were clean and tidy with everything need for a week or two away with great views from the balcony. The under building secure parking, with a lift to the rooms, was a bonus as parking nearby would be difficult and expensive without it. The building is situated in a great place surrounded by good bars and places to eat and yet it was quiet during the night. I would definitely be happy to stop here again.

“Perfect for winter sunshine”
Reviewed 7 January 2013 for a stay in December 2012

We stayed for a week over Christmas 2012 and were rewarded with perfect weather. The apartment is modern, clean and spacious (vast for 2, would be fine for 4, maybe rather cosy for 6) and has a wonderful south facing balcony with an impressive view over the mouth of the Guadiana. Lots of places to eat within 5 minutes walk - it isn't even worth making your own breakfast. We were birdwatching, and the whole area round here is really great in the winter - flamingos, spoonbills, ospreys, more waders than we could identify....

Really nice 2 bed, 2 bath apartment, centrally located in Ayamonte.Local agent was very helpful, meeting us on the edge of town, and leading us directly to apartment.Apartment clean and spacious.Great balcony with lovely view over harbour and river to Portugal.
Ayamonte is a perfect little Spanish town, full of winding streets and tapas bars.
