We used this hotel in Jan for a sky holiday in Formigal. It is not close to the centre and if you have children it's hard to go out of the hotel if you don't have a car. On the other hand they have some vans that take you there and to the slopes only that in some days they only had one van running meaning people had to wait a long time (if you have booked classes get your own car which was what we had to do) and we also took our car to dinner in Formigal because the last van returned at 21h30...what??? Apart from that, rooms are spacious and it is a quite modern hotel, we couldn't ear any noise from other rooms and from the hallways which was very good to get a rest We had a great balcony with a view (I guess all bedrooms have it). It has an indoor pool which in my opinión should have some rules checked out first...no diving for example? Has it is small and it becomes a zoo when it was full of people, which brings me to another suggestion of rule: limit the numer of people that might be in there.
Had a good kids club, not so sure they had so much activities but our son always comeback with a drawing, or a mask and he always wanted to return so that was good.
We had problems with a waiter in breakfast, he was quite rude but then they come to appologise so case closed, however I do mention it here because whenever this happens you should always complain. You are paying enough to get a good service.
Also they have a big problem with the place to keep the skis, the cabinets are small and if you are a family of four you have to get at least 2, before leaving it is caos and people block the passage, so I don't understand how such a big hotel makes such a small place to keep the skis where people can barely move.
It is a good hotel and at the time of our booking I felt it wasn't expensive because it included breakfast, but looking back I think it needs to improve many things to make sure it is at it's best.

We stayed at this hotel for a week over the new year, i'm very surprised to see people complaining about the size of rooms as we found the space to be typical of a 4 star hotel, we found them comfortable enough and we thought the style was nice!, the hotel lobby and common parts are a nice place to relax in the evenings, log fire, games room etc, if we are looking for negatives, wifi, it didn't work in the room and it was up and down like a yoyo in the lobby (i must have asked them to restart server 10 times in 7 days), staff where friendly but didn't give the impression that they where overly efficient, the food was typical buffet style, we took 4 evening meals in the hotel but it was more for convenience, the best 3 meals we had where in the village, their was ample choice and my daughter liked it but if you are looking for refined then eat somewhere else!, free parking outside the door and an excellent ski bus service, i would stop there again despite knowing that they have a few idiosyncrasies, i would rate the hotel something like 7 to 7,5 from 10!

This hotel is perfectly located with a panoramic view of Spain's mountains!
In the region there are a lot of things to do and nature is beautiful!

It's a very modern and big but still cosy hotel with a lot of space (big restaurant, big rooms, big lobby...).
The staff is very kind and treats you like a real guest!
The food is also excellent. Everyday you have a wide range of cold and warm dishes presented in a buffet. Everyday there are some new 'products', that means the buffet won't get boring.

I have had a lovely holiday over there and like to go back.

I have never written any reviews but after expending three days in this 4* ( what a joke!!!!) hotel I have to, because I really want to share my experience....
The bathroon was dirty, with mold everywhere and smelled like a public bathroom....
The room was small and stuffy, NO AIR CONDITIONED in a 4*!!!! we had to sleep with the balcony door opened because it was so hot and there was a religious group singing in one of their salons until pass midnight ( really loud!!!!)so we really couldn't sleep until 1 am, when I asked at the receptionist the following morning ( not complaining because I ususally don't complaint) she explained that the hotel rents one of their salons to this particular religious organization every summer so be aware of it!!!!
There is an indoor pool....full of people, stuffy and I couldn't get in.....
We left the room at 11 am one morning and when we came back around 5 pm, the door of our room was opened, nothing was stolen but we were really upset. They changed us to the next room and this was the end of the explanation!!!! we never found out what really happened!!!!!!
DEfinitelly not a 4* hotel and we will never come back for sure!!!
