WE had originally driven here on the view we would stay at the Castell Montgri site which is opposite, however on arrival ( and we had forgot not been here for 17 years !!) it was noisy full on and absolutely full of kids all enjoying themselves of course... hence the screaming and music.
We decided this wast for us now (kids all grown up) and was given the heads up by a nice lady who said try opposite and the Emporda. We are soooo glad we did.
The team here are lovely. The site is very clean, shower and bathing facilities really good. Its calm, although does get very busy in high season we stayed early July 2104...
Have really enjoyed our stay here. Nice easy walk into town, great local market on Thursdays.. prices very fair... no pressure to buy ;).
If you want a good english, hot and nicely cooked breakfast go to Tex mex on the corner just as you get in to town...one of the best we have had in many years...
All round great stay, great site, would recommend and if you really want to try the bedlam that is opposite you can buy a day pass for €5.... so nothing lost and everything to gain.
would stay here again and would recommend.
