This museum is about half an hour from Tarragona or Reus. It's worth the trip alone but could be combined with a visit to the walled town of Montblanc or the Monastery at Poblet.
The name might give the impression that the visitor will see rooms full of old ploughs and hoes, nothing could be farther from the truth, it's one of the most fascinating museums I've been to.
It's spread over two buildings, one old and one new, and the exhibits are displayed extremely creatively using lighting, sound and special effects. English speakers won't have a language problem, the written information and the audiovisual elements are in Catalan, Castellano and English, and the English translation is very good which isn't always the case. It's probably a destination for school parties, most of it would interest children. Highly recommended.
