Just returned from a memorable stay at Hoolet cottage. The setting is really beautiful, located at the end of a quiet country track overlooking the river Severn and Old apple / plum Orchards.
Upon entering the cottage we were greeted by the smell of freshly baked bread (baked by Trish), fresh eggs from the resident hens , home made jam and locally produced cider, which was so welcoming.
Ian took the trouble to introduce his beautiful black labs to our dog Tyler ( we noticed in one review someone had an issue with the dogs) but I would honestly say it's a really dog friendly place and please don't be out off by the one isolated review as it wasn't our experience at all.
The cottage is really well designed with under floor heating and a lovely wood burning stove. Everything has been thought of and its nicely furnished and finished to a high standard.
Ian and Trish clearly work hard to make the cottages welcoming and a pleasure to stay in.
Even though the weather was changeable, we only scratched the surface of things to see and do in the area. If you like beautiful scenery, fantastic walks, interesting market towns and lovely pubs then a trip would be recommended.
Planning our next trip back to the cottages soon, Judy and Mark. (strongly recommended)More
