Nice pub good atmosphere, one of the few surviving pubs in Ashton that continues to do well, we usually call in on the way to Manchester or on the way home, never any trouble, the bar staff are very good and quick to serve, prices are always good in weatherspoons pub, the food is pretty good, always hot and they get your order right ! well managed very large seating areas on two levels, If your in Ashton and you want a fuss free drink or some pub grub, call in and give them a try, you wont be dissapointed

Friendly staff, rarely trouble and a good atmosphere. Food is good enough - standard pub grub but don't expect anything out of the ordinary.

Excellent value for money, the food service is rapid... never had to wait long for the food to be brought to the table, good selection on the food and drinks menu. Nice and cosy inside.

I popped in to The Ash Tree whilst on business in Ashton, partly for the beer, partly for the food and partly for the shelter. And what did I find? One of the best Wetherspoons I have visited. I had a pint of brilliant mild for, wait for it, £1.65! I had a lovely Peri Peri Chicken for £5.99 - with good service, atmosphere and above all warmth. You just cant beat it. The Ash Tree is definitely on my lengthening list of watering holes.
