We stayed just one night for a friends party nearby and enjoyed the experience. Room was a little dated but clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was our only meal in the hotel but was filling and set us up well for the day.

Stayed: June 2013, travelled with family

Stayed here as a break from driving home from holiday for 2 nights. The picture of the hotel looked beautiful, chocolate box. Inside its completely modern. The first thing i noticed in the massive reception area was the christmas tree on a table, lite - in August !!! Already touting the christmas trade, not good especially with a 8 year old who couldnt understand why. To the left of the reception area information on having the hotel as a wedding venue, hmm! I had emailed the hotel when booking to say i needed a bed for my son, this had not been done but they did recify this quickly. However, my son was not considered after that. No glass in the room for him, no mug or cup to have a drink. No extra biscuits or milk for him...only us. The breakfasts were good, a varied amount of foods for all tastes. We did not eat in the restaurant as the menu we found in our bedroom did not cater for young tastes and the prices were out of our league anyway. The hotel has a corporate feel to it. The staff although pleasant are on automatic pilot, the hotel room was soleless and felt like the old motels, room after room built on to the original building all the same slightly depressing feel. However, on the plus, it was clean and nothing was shabby. This hotel is okay for a quick stay over but missing something personal and cosy, its Premier Inn but more expensive

Dear guest, thank you for your review.
We appreciate your comments and will take on board the various issues for improvement you have mentioned . We tend to accommodate both leisure and corporate guests at different times of the week, and hope not to appear too corporate. Pleased you found our hotel clean and well maintained. We hope to welcome you back on a future occasion when we hopefully can impress with service for our youngest guests too.
With kind regards.

My partner and i were treated to a night here and were really looking foreward to it.When we walked in it looked lovely, the lady at the desk spoke to me and ignored my partner,we were asked if we had stayed there before and i said no expecting to be given the run down of restaurant times and everything else and was then given the key to the room and that was that. When we got to our room it was boiling hot in there, no air con or fans, the little window needed iron man to open it and the woodland view we were expecting was just like being at home a tree, road and driveways with a van looking at you.The Wi Fi was extremely slow, the phone didn't work for room service so instead of having a relaxing night away it was like being at home. The food was not worth the money at all and was a let down as had to wait 45 minutes even though there was nobody else in the bar when i ordered. The room service i felt was rather rude when he brought the food up no smile or manners. After having a very uncomfortable night through the heat we were left by 8am the following morning and back home early to our children,Definately wont be going there again would have been happier in a Premier Inn at half the price.

Dear guest,
Thank you for our frank review and comments. Clearly we did not impress and that is very regrettable. We have analysed your comments and so far as possible we are improving service delivery to avoid future disappointments. Despite your comments we hope to welcome you back on a future occasion and hope to deliver a first class service then.
with kind regards

Just found this hotel on chance, while looking for somewhere close to the New forest for a couple of days
Beautiful looking from the outside and very nice inside as well.
Our room (38) had a very comfortable super king size bed and the room was very well finished, furnished and clean.
The breakfast served from 7 am. There was a huge range to choose from and it was always fresh.
The bar/ restaurant is finished in a modern style and the staff were very friendly, there is also some seating available outside, although it was next to the car park. We didn't notice it causing any distraction.

My wife and I booked an overnight stay as we were attending a funeral on the following day. As we arrived later in the evening we weren't able to check out the bar or restaurant. The receptionist was a very nice lady who quickly checked us in. We stayed in room 37 which had a lovely king size bed and a nice balcony. The room was fine and spacious. We had a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning and all the staff were pleasant. My wife, who originally comes from Dorset, and I intend to return and use the hotel as a base to visit the surrounding area. Note that my in-laws were staying in a nearby Travelodge and they were paying more and their breakfast was not even included! In summary, a nice hotel with reasonable prices and we would definitely return there.
