We stayed in the Granary and the Stable for a couple of nights over new year. We were two families, both with small children. We were very happy with the cottages - clean, warm and inviting, very comfortable and well-equipped, and beautifully quiet at night. They were also decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. The owners were very helpful and the cottages had plenty of information about things to do in the local area. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

We booked the Granary to allow us to be close to family at Christmas. The cottage was very warm, clean and comfortable. It had been decorated for Christmas, including a Christmas tree which was a really nice touch. We were able to visit my son, daughter-in-law and 2 young granddaughters and they came to the cottage on Christmas Day. We cooked Christmas dinner (including turkey) for 7 people and, although it was a bit of a challenge, we managed it and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all. It is a nice quiet location and I would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

We had 2 cottages The Granary and The Stable, we are a party of 10 ranging from 5 months to 74 yrs old, the cottages are very well equipped. My Mum loved the Stable as everything was within her reach as she is in a wheelchair, both cottages were really warm and the Stable has underfloor heating. Close to Southport (15 mins drive), Burscough Wharf well worth a visit, 2 mins away. The owners were brilliant excellent info packs in both cottages with all local info, we visited the local Farm Shop for breakfast. Cottages have plenty of lovely clean white fluffy towels & excellent bed linen on comfy beds.

We booked the Stable and the Dairy as a base to allow us to be with family over the Christmas period. The accommodation was warm, very clean, well maintained and certainly met all of our needs. The Stable had even been decorated with its own Christmas Tree.
The location was ideal for us and provided a quiet and peaceful base to work from.
I would have no hesitation in booking again or recommending to others in the future.

Room Tip: The Stable has excellent facilities for those who are less mobile.

We have used The Dairy on several occasions and found it to be adequate for our needs as we only come to the area to visit family. It is cosy and comfortable. On our last visit we stayed in The Stable which is excellent and highly recommended. The location of this cottage is very private with its own entrance and exit and parking is right outside the front door.We have already booked another break in the spring for The Dairy.

Room Tip: Bedroom in The Dairy is facing the back garden so it is very quiet. Both bedrooms in The Stable could be noisy as they back onto the main courtyard where other clients cars are parked and the security lighting keeps going on and off
