Went on a day trip 'The Conway Valley Explorer', although it was a very early start it was well worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful, the service could have been a little more efficient, but we had plenty of time so sat back and enjoyed the day. The autumn scenery was spectacular and the food was plentiful and beautifully served. We would certainly use this company and go again.

What a truly splendid day out, from the journey, the countryside, the meals on the train, the amazing staff, overall a wonderful day with friends. Would certainly go on another.

The initial brochure we received stated that there would be 4 hours to explore Windsor. This was even confirmed in the brochure that was on our table when we boarded the train.

But it soon became clear that the times were way out. In fact we had just about 3 hours, arriving at Windsor at 2pm, an hour later than stated. There just wasn't enough time to have a late lunch and visit Windsor Castle, which was the reason for going in the first place! Be very wary of the times the brochure or website state if you are interested in a long journey with West Coast Railways!

Dear Christine,

Thank you very much for your review of the Royal Windsor Express. I am sorry to hear you were short of time in Windsor. We always aim to give our customers the closest approximate timings on our website but these may change once Network Rail issue their confirmed timings. Furthermore, although delays on the tracks are rare, they of course can happen but this is unfortunately not in our hands.

Kind Regards
