“Little haven”
Reviewed 12 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Myself with my husband, son and dog have just returned from a 4 night stay here. Lodge was fabulous clean and tidy. We would not hesitate to return again. Julie and Jim the owners were on hand and were so friendly. The site is about 25mins from Windermere once we found a quicker route, back up to m6 then on to 591rd straight through. I would definitely recommend this lodge ....many thanks .

“PERFECT”
Reviewed 25 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

The most perfect lodge in a beautiful place, we have just returned home after a two night stay and it was more than expected, the lodge is immaculate and Julie and Jim the owners are so lovely and helpful, it's in a great calm setting perfect for relaxing the lake and the views are stunning, the little pub on site is great value we had two evening meals and can not fault anything and the staff are very pleasant, we did not get chance to use the gym, swimming pool and sauna but we had a look and it was very good and clean with a good gym equipment. The only downside to staying here was that we had to come home! We will definitely be returning for longer next time, it really was the perfect lodge in the perfect setting. Thank you

“Beautiful setting in a quiet location”
Reviewed 6 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Beautiful setting great location for the Lake District and really easy to find from the motorway.
Having managed holiday lets over the years I am always very particular about cleanliness. We spent 2 nights in the lodge which was very clean and had everything we needed, except towels which the owner did tell us to bring before the trip so it wasn’t a problem.
The owners were very friendly and welcomed us at the reception to take us to the cabin.
The site is a quiet site with a restaurant that does a takeaway menu. (Dogs only allowed outside) and an indoor swimming pool.
Lovely views of the lake, great for an evening stroll with the dog.
A great site for a quiet getaway, only one downside had to pay for the WIFI
I will return and can highly recommend.

Management Response
7 Jul 2016
I am getting wifi installed in the lodge which will be free for all our guests, just trying to get the most suitable set up installed, hopefully in by the end of July 2016. We do not supply towels because they tend to go missing and since I do not take a damage deposit I have no way of recovering the losses and this seems to work fine for both us and guests.
