Stayed here while attending a wedding in Shropshire. Lovely room overlooking river. Small but that is normal for English standards. The bathroom was very very narrow with a tiny shower but again pretty average for UK. Wonderful breakfast and very friend hosts. No parking close by. You have to park in a city parking lot but only about 5 minutes walk. Bed very comfortable. Little noisy but I had been forewarned and took ear plugs which did the trick! Would recommend but be prepared for a tight squeeze!

The hotel is by the river Severn in the charming town of Bridgnorth. It is in Low Town and is next to the Cliff Railway that transprts you to Hight Town. The bedroom was not large but tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed. Everything was very clean, the shower was excellent and we had a nice outlook over the attractive courtyard. The breakfast was also good and the proprietors made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately th hotel has no car parking facilities but car parks are available within a fairly short walking distance We found the hotel good value for money.

I have taken some time to write this review but after looking back at some photos taken while on holiday I was reminded of this lovely hotel. The owners are very friendly and the room was perfect for my husband and myself, they even allocated the room next door for our teenage son. Breakfast was super with lots of fresh coffee. The location is perfect for the Severn Valley railway. I would love to go back

I enjoyed my stay at this lovely hotel. I had a warm welcome on arrival from the lovely owners and I was very pleased with my room. The whole hotel was clean and welcoming. It was a perfect size for me, was very comfortable and I had a lovely view of the river. I really enjoyed my breakfast and I recommend the fried breakfast in the morning as I thought it was perfectly cooked. Overall, a very pleasant stay with lovely people. Thank you.

My adult daughter & myself stayed at the Severn Arms Hotel for 3 days in the middle of January. Robert & Caroline are perfect hosts. The rooms are extremely clean & the breakfast was very filling. Wifi was available with a good reception. We have stayed at other Hotels in the town that have turned out to be a nightmare. However, this Hotel deserves the 4 star rating it proudly displays. We visit this town several times a year to see the family and from now on we do not need to waste any time in trying to find a decent place to stay, this is the bees knees. Bridgnorth is a lovely town to visit for a short stay. If you are a real ale fan, then this is the place. The downside of the town is that most eating establishments close very early unless you prefer a take away. This you can take back to the hotel but PLEASE respect the Hotel owners request and eat it in the dining room and not the bedroom. You can always sit by the beautiful river and munch away from the cartons. Parking is a headache, this was January (supposedly a quiet period), there are several parking areas close by but they get filled very early and quickly by the residents of the town. Visit out of season and take advantage of the generous discounts available at this establishment, you won't regret it.

Bridgnorth is a delightful & fascinating small town,
upper level is the main town, and lower area by
river is reached by old-fashioned cliff railway.
What fun that ride is. Severn Arms hotel in lower
section, right next to cliff railway entrance.
Family running the hotel are so friendly. Had a
single room at front of hotel with view of river.
Bathroom next door. Small bedroom, but extremely
clean & comfortable. Very good, high quality
breakfast served in lovely room at front of hotel.
Plenty of books to read from bookcase in
breakfast room. Small guest lounge available.
This is a well-run place with friendly proprietors.
Had an enjoyable 2 nt stay. (The wonderful small
historical museum in town is well worth a visit).
