Owner description: A great place for a family outing where children of all ages enjoy the farm animals and pets.

Visited Rays farm today with our 23 month old grand daughter, firstly what a pleasant surprise free parking , and entrance fee was very reasonable children are encouraged to feed the animals and interact with them toilets and baby changing facilities are very clean, also the tea shop very reasonably priced they also have designated toddler areas for them to play In, soft play area etc. the ball pit in the toddler barn was a bit disappointing as when our grand daughter went in it was wet and, her feet got extremely wet but I think this was due to condensation, plenty of place on site to have a picnic weather permitting .the staff were polite and very helpful and we were made to feel welcome a very enjoyable day well worth a visit .

Thank Jen D

was a nice day out but was expecting to see more animals. It was mostly based around the woodland walk which was all right but a lot of walking. Was very expensive for what was there.

We visited today as we had a voucher to get in for free (thankfully). Well, I'm glad we didn't set aside a whole day for this experience as it doesn't take long at all to see everything, of which there is not much at all! It would have cost us quite a bit to get in, two adults, one child and an under 2.

There are not many animals at all. You can buy a bag of animal food, which is very small, for £2. My daughter enjoyed feeding some of the animals. There are some owls which looked very sad indeed and probably bored sick sat in the very uninspiring cages.

As for certain members of staff, well, he certainly needs lessons in how to treat his customers. Jumped up little wotsit to put it politely.

Oh and the toilets in the new entrance area were revolting, filthy dirty.

There are far better farms locally which I would recommend which have many more animals and activities.

Had a great day out at Rays Farm, they have a fantastic offer for free child's place which made the decision to go so much easier.
The farm is not massive but the kids (aged 5 & 9) had a great time going round feeding the animals and reading the information about them.
The woodland walk with carvings is something different from anywhere else we have been and den building was so much fun.
The staff are all welcoming and very friendly.
We will definitely be returning soon & recommending to friends and family.

Something for everyone: animals to stroke and feed, young and mature. A wide range of animals and birds to see. Good refreshments. Play area suitable for little ones. Enchanting walk in a wooded valley with surprises round every corner; wooden sculptures with nursery rhyme or fairy story theme. Our 3 year old surprised us by sitting on the story telling chair and telling us a story.
All staff very friendly and helpful.
