I have been going to The Danery for years and have always thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It has a real country pub inside, and outside is great in the summer especially for kids. We went on a recent sunday and had a lovely meal. The roast dinner was fabulous and the desert was amazing. the staff were lovely as usual and a great place in general.

“Rip off bad staff attitude”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014

Visited Saturday. We had previously had an OK meal here but after Saturday won't be returning. Had various baggettes in a group of 6. Staff very harassed appeared not to be ready for lots of customers on a sunny weekend. Said they had run out of condiment baskets then run out of mustard! Bagettes were seriously half the size but still full price what a rip off! Bad attitude of kitchen and service staff. I'm amazed they have any customers like this! Maybe its better inside I dont know. Perhaps go inside out of season and try not to be a nuisance and don't ask for any extra's that's the only advice I can give.

Dear Trip Advisor Member;
Thank you for your deep insight into the Catering Industry. I can see from your profile that your opinion is very important to yourself.
The heinous crime of running out of Mustard Sachets has been dealt with emergency supplies being flown in. Each of the surly staff have been deducted 1 Groat from their tips.
The Chef and myself have lashed ourselves, most severely with wet Lettuce leaves while preying to the great Catering God "Nisbets" (20% off) for forgiveness and the mercy of the 500 or so, other souls we served over the weekend who had no cause to find fault with us.
Many thanks for your comments. Hope never to see you again.

regards

“Lovely Sunday Lunch in a great little pub”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

We called in here for Sunday lunch as part of a day trip to Bridgnorth and we're so glad we did. The atmosphere was friendly and pleasant and we found all the staff cheerful and helpful. Our meals arrived in good time and were beautifully cooked and presented. My other half sampled a couple of the real ales and found them both to be very good. This is a great, honest, family-run pub that we will definitely return to.
