We have to pre arrange where we can eat because of our dog. We were pleasantly surprised with this type of cafe allowing dogs, but pleased.
We ordered the sandwiches and tea for two. The sandwiches are as described thick cut and fresh.
The pot of tea for two would have served a family of 4!!! But no complaints.

It was busy in the town as it was bank holiday but the staff were friendly an efficient.
My husband ordered a piece of cake ( Victoria sponge) I tried some and it was, I thought, slightly dry, but my husband disagreed.

To sum up, a clean friendly place to eat with good food at a reasonable price.
One suggestion, just a little background music would be good.

Nice dog friendly traditional tea rooms and restaurant in the heart of upper town in Bridgnorth.

Service fairly good. Plenty of menu options and decent portions. Tea and coffee OK. Cake was tasty but a bit dry.

Menu ranges from light snacks to hot meals, and even breakfast is served.

I always use this café when in town, I will use nowhere else. The size of the teapot for tea for 2 is amazing.....so many cups. As for the breakfast sandwiches on freshly baked uncut bread, they are delicious and I try a different variation every time. Mind you the bacon and mushroom with brown sauce is a favourite. Their jacket potatoes are also a very generous, they never skimp on ingredients or the amount they serve.
Well worth a visit and so much better than the "coffee chains".

We called in the Castle Tea Rooms one sunny Sunday recently, a week after the worst of the floods but the river was still very high.
Our group ordered Tea's, Coffee's & Cakes with a very friendly waitress and they soon appeared, even though they were reasonably busy. The prices are fair and the Cakes portions generous, also scrumptious! This is a proper traditional establishment and all the better for it.
