“A memorable weekend”
Reviewed 21 March 2013 for a stay in March 2013

I booked this as a surprise for my boyfriends 30th and this was perfect. We went on Walk 2 of the recommended walks and the sunshine stayed out long enough for us to have breakfast on the patio. The cottage was cozy and the location was perfect for two city folk who wanted to get away from it all. My boyfriend hasn’t stopped smiling so was definitely worth the visit.

“Perfect Christmas break”
Reviewed 13 March 2013 for a stay in December 2012

We had a fantastic stay at Brooks' View and couldn't fault the facilities or the warm welcome we received. The surroundings are simply beautiful and we enjoyed a comfortable and relaxed stay over the Christmas holidays. It's just a few miles from Bath city centre and all the shops, restaurants and spa facilities it has to offer, so perfect for day trips out. We loved the cottage layout and the log fire - really cosy and the perfect break away from London living. Would definitely love to return in the summer months as this is such amazing value for money (much better than a clinical hotel).

“Bang of the money!”
Reviewed 13 March 2013 for a stay in February 2013

Went for a quiet weekend away with my wife and we could not find fault. Not only was the cottage well presented and well kitted out without being cluttered, there was a warm welcome, complimentary sherry and sweet treats, basics in the fridge - all those little added extras that mean so much! The location for Bath is ideal if you want to keep rural, there are some great pubs close by and it was utterly relaxing. It is without a doubt one of those places you did wish you owned as it is rediculously picturesque! One settled we actually struggled to go get into Bath it was that nice - couldn't recommend enough.

“A perfect cottage for a lovely weekend in bath”
Reviewed 12 February 2013 for a stay in February 2013

My girlfriend and I have just returned from a lovely couple of days in bath. The cottage is warm and cosy and the little touches don't go unnoticed. The only disappointment was the weather but it just means we will have to come again! Highly recommended.

The weather has been perfectly dreadful recently but I am so pleased you enjoyed it enough to want to come back...We are currently putting finishing touches to a summer house so that you can sit out beside the brook in all weathers. Also a patio down beside the brook.. for brookside dining!

And we are just about to begin the festivities in Bath with the Lit fest starting as of now with everyone from Darcy Bussell speaking to JK Rowlings. Followed by the Guitar Festival and the then the Music Festival..not to mention the rugby!!

Do come back Ann

“Quiet and really cosy!”
Reviewed 10 February 2013 for a stay in January 2013

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Brook's View in January 2013. The cottage was really cosy, very comfortable, and we had a great time (despite the rain!). Location was perfect for us - really quiet and with country walks and cycle rides from the door, yet close to Bath. The owners provided so many extra special touches and we felt extremely welcome. We also enjoyed the food and atmosphere in both local pubs. Many thanks.

I am pleased you enjoyed it. Having lived here for so long I take it for granted but our neighbour now has a wonderful Indian owl which provides a very rustic approach to the local birdlife whih are varied and well worth studying. Do come back

“A simply perfect retreat”
Reviewed 6 January 2013 for a stay in December 2012

We were looking for a quiet retreat to see in the new year and that's exactly what we found. A wonderful cottage with cosy rooms....exactly what you need if you're a couple wanting to escape. Location is fantastic, set overlooking the river in the heart of the countryside with good gastro pubs in walking distance.

The owners have made the cottage such a warm, inviting location helped by the roaring wood burner and the thoughtful treats they left behind.

We will definitely go back!

Hello there...I am very pleased indeed that you enjoyed your stay so much. There is a lot to do around Tucking Mill...splendid walks, lovely independent pubs which are renowned for their food, and see will shortly be connected to Bath via the Two Tunnels which will give direct access. They say 10 mins on a bike and 25 on foot.Being close to the canal there are a lot of cycle tracks as well.

Do come again and do more exploring...as well as the many festivals Bath has to offer.
