“Lovely and welcoming home”
Reviewed 20 April 2013

3-night stay at this lovely, comfortable, and welcoming B & B was the perfect start to our 12-day trip to Scotland. Edie and his wife made sure we had all the comforts of home (and more!), provided great recommendations for the area, and kept us more than well fed! Seriously delicious breakfasts to start our days. Wonderful fresh fruits, Salmon, and the most delicious award winning Black Pudding and Caramelized Apple recipe. Very comfortable and updated rooms. They have done a beautiful job in renovating this gem of a B & B.

We stayed at 69 Cromwell as our first stop in our trip through Scotland, and it sure set the bar high. The rooms were lovely, the breakfasts were absolutely wonderful (cold breakfasts plus a menu of a few different hot breakfasts that are each excellent, we tried them all!), and Eddie made us feel right at home! A comfortable stay with gourmet breakfasts and it costs less than a dinner out at a restaurant! Quiet, clean, great value, good recommendations. We were there for a wedding nearby but if we had wanted to head into Edinburgh it sounded easy on the train. Hope we have a chance to return.

Only stayed one night and did not partake of the breakfast as I had a late 'boys night out' and needed the extra time in bed. However what I can say is that my room was immaculate with tea and coffee / bottled water which was very beneficial.Bathroom was also spotless and well equipped. Very good value for money with very accommodating hosts. I will certainly stay again. Thank you.

If you are ever staying in the Shangri-La that is Burntisland don't even consider staying anywhere other than 69 Cromwell Road. The welcome is excellent, local information is happily shared and advice given, standard of accommodation is spotless and toprate. Describing the breakfast would see this writer swiftly running out of hyperboles. This place is absoluetly professionally run - don't hesitate to reserve to enjoy a tip-top experience. Very highly recommended.
