Owner description: A paint your own pottery studio with large cafe. A bright friendly environment, perfect for everyone to relax, enjoy themselves and create something wonderful. We have live music on a Sunday afternoon - you can paint, listen to music and eat cake! There's also a kids play corner, so kids can play while parents have a look at the newspaper or meet with friends. It's a very relaxed atmosphere.

“Great soup!”
Reviewed 20 October 2012

This is a comfortable and relaxed place to have lunch or breakfast and 2 minute walk from the award winning beach. The staff are very friendly but not intrusive which is nice. The food is freshly prepared and worth the wait. The soup of the day is always a taste sensation and the soup and sandwich deal is really good value.
You can take out or sit in. The coffee is brilliant and again freshly ground/made.
Highly recommended for all age ranges.
There are special events such as comedy and a curry night. Usually £15 all included. Bring your own booze (B.Y.O.B) makes it a great value evening.
I haven't tried the pottery facilities but have watched others walk out with pride at their latest creation.

“Creative painting fun for all ages, good food and atmosphere.”
Reviewed 27 August 2011

Friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere. In-house kiln makes for quicker turnaround time than some paint-pottery places.

If you have never painted pre-made pottery, you may wonder, what is the point of painting something already made? At least that is what I thought, expecting a pottery studio where we could make the pottery and disappointed to find out that you simply bought and painted it. But think of the pottery as a canvas and the painting as your artwork. With so many colors and brushes you are really free to try anything. There is no separate charge for studio time so you can relax and enjoy. Staff is warm and friendly. Now I am really hooked on this art form, it is such a simple way to make beautiful personalized gifts, I already have more projects in mind.

Of course if you have done paint-your-own pottery before you need no introduction. This one is a lovely place to do it with the cafe and children's play area in the adjoining spaces. It was very busy the day we were there - maybe due to rain but then its a rainy party of the world.

You could easily spend a few hours there, though if you are short on time even half-an-hour is enough to paint a small plate or mug. If the design is ultra simple and planned in advance, you can even paint it in 15 minutes. If you are in town on vacation though, allow a few days for the place to fire it and give it back to you before you leave.

“Relaxing and good place for coffee or dinner”
Reviewed 23 May 2011

We happen to spend a weekend in Burntisland and ended up going to Potter About three times. Beside that the drinks and food are tasty and great value, I think it is the staff that make the big difference at this place. Relaxed, helpful, informative, a bit of banter in between.

Meals really do have the "home made" taste, the portions are more than decent, and for dinner they do BYOB. Coffee is great too. What more can you ask for?

“Great place for kids”
Reviewed 20 September 2010

We went here before when they had quite a small place, but they've now moved along a the road to a much bigger shop. They still have pottery painting, but also a big play area, probably most suited to pre-schoolers (which mine are!) which is fab. Lots of toys, a play kitchen which my daughter loved, books etc. We had brunch there which was good and although now its much bigger it still had a small friendly atmosphere.

“Great coffee and hot choc... !”
Reviewed 2 December 2009

Great cafe in Burntisland, husband loved the coffee and me and friends thought the hot choc was delicious. Definitely recommend the paninis, too. HUGE piece of cake was great, very generous portion. The kids that were painting were having a great time. I'll go back again when I've got more time, so I can paint a bowl or something - lots and lots of things to choose from. I'll definitely be back.
