Just open the front door and Wow!! The view's across the Firth of Forth including the yatch Britannia and Arthurs Seat are spectacular you are metres from the sea and a quiet esplande. There is a victorian verandafo day time and evening relaxing (sampling a bottle of red!!) Our facilities were very comfortable and Elaine made us very welcome on our arrival and was available should you need any assistance. Archie our dog also enjoyed his time there. Looking forward to our next visit.

“Wow what a lovely cottage”
Reviewed 1 September 2012 for a stay in August 2012

Having just come back from a very relaxing two weeks stay at this beautiful cottage, I highly reccomend it.....From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we walked out the door to come home it was just perfect. It had everything in it that we needed, home from home. Thank you to Cliff for letting this lovely cottage out. We intend to book again for next year...

“The view alone is worth it”
Reviewed 25 July 2012 for a stay in July 2012

The photos do not do Seaside Cottage justice. It is literally within a "pebble's toss" of the beach (and the sea, when the tide is in) and a short walk from the town and the leisure centre. Both my daughters enjoyed their bedroom, situated on a gallery and reached via a spiral staircase. The views across the Forth towards Edinburgh and across the bay to Burntisland are wonderful. With the changes in the tide and the light, it is a constantly changing scene. One of my daughters spent a fortnight painting the view across the bay.

If you are looking for quiet, but within easy reach of a town, then this is a good choice. It is a place which is good for the soul.

Even if the weather is not wonderful, Burntisland is a good base to use to explore Fife. In Burntisland, we particularly recommend: "The Burntisland Sands Hotel" (at the end of the road, scarcely 50 metres away) for a drink and an evening meal, and "Potter About" in the High Street for tea and cake and an opportunity to paint your own pot.
