“best b&b i have stayed in”
Reviewed 20 November 2011

garfield bed and breakfast is by far one of the best i have ever stayed in. When i arrived i was welcomed with a love attendive lady. Our room was modern and had a lovely en suit, we had a lovely twin room with lots of space and even though beside a road not even a noise to wake me or my husband up ( very light sleeper) a very safe area to stay in. The breakfast was delightful the lady was very lovely and chatty for the morning and told us great places to vist in the area. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and promptly attended to us. I would definatly stay here again i have recommended this b&b to many people and i will for many years to come.

Room Tip: all rooms are carried out to a high standard

The Garfield B&B in Dingwall is well situated just across the road from the Railway Station. The main guest accommodation is in a red sandstone house next door to the owners house (and breakfast room). The room was really good and comfortable, modern and with a spotlessly clean en suite. Room rates with a full cooked breakfast are excellent value. Only a short walk to the main shopping/eating street. We ate at the National Hotel, which was excellent (and again good value) but there are several other options all in easy walking distance. Out host was very accommodating in providing the full cooked breakfast despite us needing to leave early for a rail connection. Recommended.

have stopped at mrs o'connors many times over the years and that itself should tell you how much we rate the place. the welcome is always warm , the rooms always neat and tidy . the lady is so accomating once we were ahead of time and rang to say would would be arriving early but no problem at all. upon finding most of our male members were football fans she even arranged a visit for us to ross county fc. whenever we head as a club to scotland the first place we always make sure we can get booked into is the garfield , big thanks to mrs o'connor from all at hereford motorcycle club

was pleasantly surprised by the room - newly decorated and fabby bathroom BUT... the smell of new paint kept me awake!
The girl was very attentive and helpful and nothing was a bother.
Breakfast was just ok - sausages were disgusting and the mushrooms dried out as if they had been lying out. The tea - well i like it strong but this was stewed - i had to ask for hot water to water it down- think it was made early, put in an insulated jug where it just got stronger and stronger. But all in all a nice gueat house and would go again.

Nineof my family and friends stayed here on 19/06/2010 . What a fantastic welcome, we had from Gillian, her rooms are as high a standard as some 4* hotels, spotlessly clean. and decorated to a high standard, very modern.Excellent value considering it was only £25.00pp. The breakfast was superb and certainly kept as going on our long journey home, we even left our luggage at her suggestion , to let us explore before catching our train, will definately return. Why someone can write a review and say they didn't enjoy their stay is completely beyond me!!.

Forget any previous negitive reviews these people are completly wrong, My two friends and I arrived for a 3 day stay, on arrival we were met with a friendly greeting and a warm welcome, Our rooms were modern and clean with an excellent en suite bathroom, The food was excellent and was served promptly.

We were always given good advice on the local area on where to go for nights to eat out etc, I have stayed in many a B&B and Hotels which were much more expensive and this one ranks as the best value for money and one of the most friendy home from home experiences you will have anywhere, My name is Duncan Fraser I stayed here from 25th 26th & 27th May 2010 in room 5,

I recently booked a 3 day stay in3 star B&B in Dingwall. To my very pleasant surprise "Garfield House" was a cut above what I had expected or experienced in the past for a B&B establishment. The rooms were not only clean and presentable but of such calibre that I would have expected to have paid far more than the £25 B&B. The rooms were tastefully decorated to a high standard with coffee and tea making facilities, a lcd flat screen tv with built in DVD player. A ensuite shower and toilet beautifully tiled floor and wall. The landlady was very pleasant and cordial and the full breakfast definitely made us all full. When we landed here we landed lucky. I would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment to anyone.*****star
