Just back from a weekend in Kinkell House. The hotel was lovely, with warm, clean rooms. The staff were friendly and efficent. The only minor criticism is that the menu could have been more varied from one night to the next, having said that, the food was excellant. We would love to return and have no problem reccomending the hotel to anyone.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Kinkell House hotel while visiting friends in the area. It was a lovely quiet area but a bit further out of Dingwall than we expected but only 5-10 minute drive away (£15 in taxi). The hotel is very homely with nice cosy rooms. We were in room 5 which was a double, very clean and comfortable but could have perhaps done with a mirror somewhere in the room as the only one was in the bathroom. The bathroom was very modern with an amazing raindrop shower, small but everything you need. To top the room off there was a huge flat screen tv and free bottled water. There was a slight musty smell in the hallway off the bedroom but we didn't spend long there that it was a problem! The breakfasts were very tasty. There were fresh juices, cereals, yoghurts, fruit and cooked breakfast (which was fab with local black pudding & haggis!). Overall, very clean and comfortable hotel with tasty food and friendly service, what more do you need! We will be happy to return and recommend to anyone staying in the area. Gorgeous views across the water aswell when the weather is dry & sunny!

My Husband and I stayed here whilst visiting friends in the area and couldn't have been more surprised by the quality of everything within the hotel. The service, room, food and views were all fabulous and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was enormous and the Mussels the best we have ever had anywhere. We would reccomend the hotel to one and all and look forward to returning.

Stayed here prior to a friends Birthday. Arrived late but was greeted by Jamie the hotel manager who couldn't have done enough for us ( even offered to make something for us to eat and it was 11pm). Lovely room with stunning views and four poster bed, Good quality towels and bathroom products. Full Scottish breakfast was enormous worth staying for on its own! We will be Back and can't wait to try the restaurant.

We arrived at 2.30pm - when staff were just about to clear away Sunday lunch. They very kindly delayed this and brought us beautiful starters of smoked and poached salmon. We had the Sunday carvery (choice of lamb or beef) with loads of vegetables. The large glass of red wine was I think possibly the largest I have ever seen... super lunch, with polite and friendly service. Lovely views from the dining room as well.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights from 15th September 2011. We were a little concerned at first as there didn't appear to be anyone around but after a few minutes the fiendly housekeeper let us in and we realised that on the first night there was only us staying there until later. The room was a little old but had character and the shower room was large and modern and had obviously been recently added. The hotel is a couple of minutes drive from the town of Dingwall but has excellent views and the restaurant is of a very high standard. All the staff were really friendly and efficient especially the young Thai waitress who organised some excellent sandwiches and drinks the one night we didn't eat in the restaurant. The chefs are obviously highly skilled and I would certainly recommend eating here even if you are not actually staying at the hotel.Lots to see and do only short drives away so a good point to stay in the north of Scotland.
