On our way North on a very hot evening, it was a welcome and comfortable stay with delicious dinner. The view from the terrace in the evening sunset was lovely. Breakfast meal not quite as good, but very comfortable beds.

My wife and I booked a meal for two on the 7th October having wanted to try ithis place out for a while. What a truly wonderful experience it was. When we arrived we were greeted by a wonderfully friendly hostess who showed us through to a sitting room with a roaring log fire and made to feel very welcome. Drinks orders were taken and we were given the dinner and wine menus. Plenty of time to choose and plenty of time before we were shown through to our table in what turned out to be a contemporary and tasteful dinning room. My own choices of scallops/black pudding starter, Sea Bass main and sticky toffee puding dessert were of a standard which is extremely rare in this neck of the woods and cooked to perfection.
I cant fault the place and I`m a very fussy bugger!! Prices are reasonable and the quality is all there.
GO!!!
Will definitely be back. Well done Kinkell house hotel!!!

Fantastic hotel in an excellent location..

We stayed for one night recently and think we got lucky as the honeymoon suite had a cancellation..

Huge room, with a small balcony, and spotlessly clean bathroom..

The breakfast is one of the best I've had!

If we are ever back up north we will stay here.

We attended a family gathering in the hotel on Sunday 8th Sep. We started off with some drinks in the gorgeous conservatory and dinner was served in a large room with French doors overlooking fantastic views. Dinner was a carvery - food was excellent, staff were excellent and the beautiful hotel and surroundings made it perfect. I can't comment on the rooms as unfortunately we didn't stay there but I'm sure they are as perfect as the rest of the hotel. Well worth a visit!

We stayed at Kinkell House on our Charity Lands End to John O Groats cycle. Our needs were not much more than a good shower, comfy bed and a hearty meal but we were in for a real treat. The hotel has been done out really nicely. The rooms were outstanding with a superb walk in shower. The pre-dinner G&T (a great sports recovery drink!?) on the terrace with amazing views towards the setting sun a gem. The evening meal, whilst not cheap was absolutely delicious. My only gripe would be the diy breakfast which whilst fine was not up to the evening meal standard.
This is a great place to stay and I will definitely be back with my wife.
