This is more than a road stop or a restaurant, it is an opportunity to taste good food, for breakfast, for elevenses, or for light and full meal choices. The desserts can easily dissolve a dieter's resolve. You can relax here on comfortable sofas, if you wish to. It is a very busy eating place between 12.30pm-2pm, however, there is always someone on hand to find you a space at a table. There are stunning views surrounding you while you enjoy whatever you choose to eat. From the time the current owner set up business here, (many years ago) there have been consistently high standards at the Storehouse.

There is good access to the restroom and to the restaurant for those with mobility difficulties.

In addition to the restaurant, there is a shop selling interesting food products, some locally sourced in The Highlands, also from other parts of Scotland, and from over the border. There seems to be a very eclectic buying policy, providing the products meet the business' high standards. You will also find a range of excellent delicatessen. However, the shop is small and full to bursting with a variety of goods for sale. There is minimum space for walking around. You do have to be a little careful.

The only problem with this restaurant is trying to get a seat it's generally so busy. Having said that they do tend to serve the customers pretty quickly. It's not hard to see why it's so popular. Very good quality for a self-service restaurant. Staff are always very helpful and the food is brilliant. Go back time and time again and it's a great half way point to meet up with friends from further north.

Lovely food, if thats your priority. Rather "upmarket" feel to the place however its let down badly by the fact that as a family, even with elderly mum on zimmer, we had to stand in waiting line for service & were not allowed to sit at a table though friend we were meeting already had ordered hers & was at the till. Ordering seemed very habhazard with folk constantly bumping past us in the q!
The nearby Skiach Cafe/Restaurant at the services is frankly a better bet in my experience. Its a more a "transport cafe" though so might not suit you if you like mixing with expensively dressed lunchers with posh accents a la Storehouse.

I visit this establishment regularly and I am never disappointed ! Great food, friendly staff comfortable atmosphere and a well organised table system when they are busy. What I have to say is that they definitely make the best scones in the highlands!
