“Lovely hotel in small village”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 March 2013 via mobile

Lovely traditional hotel in quiet location. Comfortable rooms, in good decorative order. Staff are friendly and helpful. For food there is a restaurant or bar snacks (still proper meals just served in the bar). Food was excellent quality and served very quickly, you may want to ask them to slow down if you prefer a short break between courses. Would recommend and will stay again if in the area.

This was the best bargain we have ever had. Hotel staff was excellent. Food plentiful and good.
We stayed 5 days and in March, weather was cold but hotel was warm and inviting.
Spent every day touring the area. would visit again!

Great old fashioned hotel with reasonable food at a bargain price. No night life in Nethy Bridge as the hotel has the only bar in the village and it is closed between 2pm and 5pm. We stayed four nights and there was quite good entertainment on two of these nights - it was really nice having a cup of coffee after dinner in the very comfortable lounge and just relaxing.
Plenty of walks in the forrests nearby as well as being on the "Speyside Way" accessed at the old railway station. For the less energetic, Aviemore and Grantown-on-Spey are within close driving distances.

Sadly its been about 5 years since we last enjoyed NB hotel so we were very much looking forward to returning. Got a lovely welcome from Kelly on arrival which set the scene for a most enjoyable evening. Several of the staff remembered us and made us most welcome, which was much appreciated. It was great to be back-Robert's patter as good as ever! For what we paid, it was great value and our room was pefect. Food was excellent as ever-even managed to get up in time for breakfast. (which could do with being a bitter latter!). Overall, great night and we will make sure we return much sooner the next time!

Great value for the special weekend breaks! Staff friendly and helpful. Room VERY warm which is better than too cold, opened the window so no problem! Good location for visiting local attractions. Other reviews mention the hotel needs updating......many would find the hotel decor in keeping with the age of the building!

My recent trip was the 4th time that I have stayed at The Nethybridge Hotel & it won't be the last!

Previously I have stayed with my husband & dog and also as part of a group where it was a quiet weekend with no entertainment. This time I had a pleasant surprise when I learned it was a 'post Christmas bash'. This involved entertainment on both nights & on Saturday morning.

The hotel is very versatile with several bars/seating areas meaning you have a choice of socialising or sitting next to open fire reading/playing a board game.

The evening meal on this trip is the best I have had so far with the breakfast great as always with lots of variety.

It is very dog friendly although if your hound barks/bothers other guests you will be asked to remove them from public areas. Any dog I have met here has been very well behaved.

I agree with previous posts that hotel is tired in some areas & tv in room is old. Firstly, what I have to say in reply is; I don't travel to the beautiful Highland countryside to watch tv or stay in my room all day & secondly what do you expect for £89 DBB & entertainment!

Hotel is clean, staff are attentive & Robert the manager is a great host.
