We have just returned from our week away in Cairngorm. We stayed at this charming cottage with our son, daughter, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. This cottage is a wee gem. It is comfortable, well equipped and cosy. Never having rented a property before we were apprehensive, but on arrival we were pleasently surprised. The cottage was clean, linens were in each room along with towels which saved us a lot of space in our cars. Everything we could have ever needed was present right down to a tin opener. The children were catered for as well with ample games and jigsaw puzzles to play with. The garden was large and had a whirlie for our washing. There was adequate parking for two cars in front of the house and extra parking at the visitor centre next door. We also had a Spar shop within walking distance. This wee gem is ideally situated for touriing round Cairngorm and beyond. We even had fish and chips from the van who attends the village every Monday. We all enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage and we cannot rate it highly enough. We would have no issues about renting this home again in the future.

Lorien is a comfortable, spacious house which was perfect for two families taking a long weekend break together. It was handy for us with young children that it was a bungalow. The kitchen is well stocked. It was useful to have space in the garage and/or sun room to store outdoor things like buckets and spades and bikes. The house is on a quiet road, next to the Spar shop so very convenient, and there are lots of walks and cycles you can do from the doorstep. We loved the ancient Caledonian forest in Abernethy just around the corner, and the RSPB reserve there. We also enjoyed walking along the footpath down the river to Broomhill, where you can catch the steam train to Boat of Garten and Aviemore. Great location for a relaxing outdoor holiday.

We would go back . Could have been a bit cleaner eg behind TV cobweb in bedroom ceiling otherwise very fresh throughout. Ideal location for all age groups . Both kettle and Fridge a bit suspect in performance though .

The perfect home from home location.

What can i say apart from a fantastic place. It slept 10 of us very comfortably with each of us having our own beds. With games and jigsaws, movies and T.V. there was plenty to keep the kids amused after each day out and about. The big back garden proved a popular place for the kids to get out and run wild. Also just over the garden fence there is a Tennis Court, Football Pitch and a Play Park. This beautiful location has plenty to do with fantastic country walks to relaxing at the bar with a hot or cold drink, that is all before jumping in the car.
It is also centrally located between the endless activities around the area.
Whether its an espresso machine or a dishwasher this house has all you will ever need and more. We all had a blast and are already planning our next visit.
