My family and I stayed at Casa La Galeana las summer for a 4-day long South-American winter retreat. Despite the fact we arrived at 5:30 AM after an exhausting 11-hour drive from Buenos Aires, we were welcomed with arms wide open. The hotel staff not only were kind but also went out of their way to make us feel at home and give us directions or recommend selected wineries in the area where to taste a well-deserved glass -or bottle- of a supreme Malbec and maybe even top it with an exquisite empanada or asado. Breakfast was delicious and varied, with a choice of medialunas, dulce de leche, tortitas, mate, tea, coffee, home-made jam, freshly squeezed orange juice and an appealing atmosphere cradled by some soft tango music playing in the background. Rooms were large and comfy, there's wifi in all the common areas as well. The gardens and the pools (two of them) were filled with crystal clear water. The property features a note-worthy restaurant called "Las Donosas". What else can I say? Great rooms, fully- equipped property, helpful staff, kid-friendly setting, delicious food, lavish ambience. I cannot wait to come back! Looking forward to my next visit.

What an incredible place! I'm not one who exaggerates or flatters, but I firmly believe in giving praise when it's earned, and this memorable place certainly is praiseworthy! It is one of the best temporary stays I've ever experienced. We would go back to Mendoza, Argentina just to stay a while longer at this small resort. Located about 30 minutes drive from the Mendoza airport, Casa La Galeana will arrange your airport shuttle if you need it. As our taxi entered the remotely-controlled gate, the stone walls and paving made us feel like we had arrived someplace magical. And we turned out to be correct! An overhauled hacienda (house), it offers guests access to an incredible collection of Gaucho (Argentine cowboy) historical items -- some of them right in your room. It is truly breathtaking! Pamela, the hostess on duty for much of our visit, arranged anything we needed. Beautiful grounds, architectural brilliance, pool, spa, sauna, restaurant, Gaucho ambiance -- Casa La Galeana offers everything. The village surrounding it, Chacras de Coria, offers great walking, biking, shopping, eating, vineyard visits and much more. Oh, to return someday!

Room Tip: Every room seemed uniformly beautiful

We stayed for a couple of nights in Casa La Galeana and it was a delight. The rooms were spacious and well equipped, and the private sitting area outside was a great place to enjoy a glass or two of wine. Super comfortable bed and well heated space! The grounds are really lovely, with lush grass and plenty of trees. Breakfast was simple and plentiful. Staff were very helpful at checkin and throughout our stay. I would also recommend eating at Las Donosas, the restaurant in the grounds; we were delighted to find a tasty menu with informed, friendly staff at very reasonable prices.

Once inside the gates, you walk into a tranquil surrounding. Trees, flowers, a pool. The room was very spacious, with chairs and a table near the sliding glass doors. There is also nice covered outdoor seating for each room. The bathroom was large with 2 steps to get into the tub/shower combination. A simple continental breakfast was served in a lovely glass enclosed room. Staff was very pleasant, recommending places for dinner and providing a local map. Upon check in they provided a complimentary glass of wine.

After a busy sightseeing day, it was lovely to return to the property and relax.
