Last time we ate at this restaurant it had a different name and a very poor approach to customer service, which is why it took us 2 years to return. But what a transformation! It now has a new name (Gold Leaf - Burwood) and the staff reflect very professional standards.
Inside, it looks much as it always did; a large open space with the usual fish tanks and chinese lanterns, but a comfortable enough setting.
We were attended by a courteous and organised waiter and our drinks and entrees arrived promptly. For main course we had a chicken and ginger hotpot and Eye Fillet in with a spicy pepper sauce. The steak and pepper sauce is worth a special mention: It was beautifully cooked and very flavoursome.
Entrees, main course, a shared dessert and a couple of beers came to $80 so Gold Leaf Burwood also represents good value. We'll be back.
