Platinum member with free rooms, so it's hard to complain ;) But the rooms are spacious, clean and quite luxurious. I almost regret how little time I spend in them.

From the reservation phone call to check in, to dinner at St Germain's and breakfast at The Weirs, I have nothing but good things to say about Rama. It's always a fun evening or two out in a beautiful area.

And I can't help but laugh at the hotel reviews that say the slot machines don't pay out. Ah ha ha ha ha. It's called gambling for a reason kids!

The hotel is nice, rooms are large but starting to look a little tired (couches and carpet). For the most part the room is clean but the bathrooms aren't always as clean as they should be. The casino is another story... I may as well tape $20 bills to the machine and walk away. THEY DON'T PAY OUT. I'm not there to have a big payday people but this place is ridiculous. You can lose a 100 bucks in a machine without EVER getting a bonus or even a good payout. Listening to other people complaining when they're sitting at a machine and losing proves to me I'm not the only one who is frustrated and fed up with Casino Rama. My mother, a PLATINUM player has now lost most of her comp'ed rooms... she's there at least once a week and she plays big bucks on most visits. How can a Platinum player who's there once a week lose comp'ed rooms?!! Rama, you are getting greedy and people are starting to get fed up. Its time to change your payout percentages or risk losing players to other casinos.

We have stayed at Rama several times and are always happy with the room and service we get.

The rooms are a nice size and well laid out and are always clean (but as always, I have to bring my lysol to give it another wipe down just to be sure)

The only downfall to this hotel is the distance from the Casino. My elderly grandmother loves to come here, however, due to the long hike to the hotel, her visits are less and less.

Room Tip: The rooms on the top two floors have a private elevator, great treat!

This hotel has outstanding rooms, cleanliness and staff. The walk-in shower and other bathroom fixtures are great but it's time for new shower heads.

The pool and other amenities are very bright, spacious and clean.

Always a pleasure to stay here but there are a few suggestions that would really improve one's stay:

1.Add coffee makers to the rooms.
2. Add refrigerators to the rooms.
Both are available on request but they are standard items everywhere now.
3. There is no soy milk or almond milk in the restaurants, catering or the coffee shop. These should be available.

Jamie in banquets was a standout and a wonderful rep for the hotel.

We have stayed in this hotel several times and have never been disappointed. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. If ever you have forgotten to pack an item they will provide it at no charge. The restaurants are varied and all excellent. The service whether in the Hotel, restaurants or casino are second to none. Add to this , the fabulous entertainment they offer and you can ask for no better night away. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone.

Room Tip: Yhere are no bad rooms

I didn't have particularly high expectations of the hotel and facility, but I was pleasantly surprised by how great our stay was. All the staff we dealt with we're very professional, the pool was great, and the room was large and comfortable. We were here midweek on a night with no show so perhaps being less busy made things better. The only minor complaint I have is that it would be nice to have more than 2 pillows on a king bed. My wife mentioned to the valet that it was our first time here and our anniversary and he had the front desk send a plate of cookies to our room, a simple nice touch that goes a long way. Good job and thanks again

Another two night visit to Casino Rama's hotel with one night comped for our previous play there and the other night at a good casino rate. The usual drive from our home near Toronto was a bit faster then usual, as the highways, while busy, had no delays so we got there in just under an hour and a half, which reduced our usual travel time by about fifteen minutes or so.

Arriving just after their usual checkin time of 3 PM, we had expected to get the room we had requested when we made the reservation about a week earlier, but it was not available due to it still being occupied by a previous guest, so the hotel had booked us into the room across the hall, which was okay, as it was an identical room to our favorite one. Problem was, however, that the room we were booked into wasn't yet ready for our arrival, as it hadn't been cleaned and made up from the prior guest's stay. We were offered other rooms on the other side of the building, but we declined as the room we had chosen and the one we were booked into were well away from both the noisy ice machine and vending machine area and the elevators, and at the end of a hallway, which usually insured a quiet night's sleep later in the evening. So we had to wait while our booked room was made up. Since we had arrived at the property at about 3:15 PM and that was well after the regular checkout time for the room's prior guests, we thought it was to be a short wait. Wrong!!! First we were given a card with an inhouse number to call to see if the room was ready after a while, and when I called about twenty minutes later I was told that housekeeping had just gotten to the room and it would take almost 45 minutes to get it ready for us, and we'd have to wait to get the keycard as the front desk couldn't issue it until housekeeping had notified them that the room was ready. So we waited in the lobby, a bit tired from the drive up, and wanting to get to our room to relax and enjoy some coffee from the coffee/tea machine (Keurig) I'd requested when I made the booking. Note that the coffee maker and supplies, including two bottles of water, are free for the asking at checkin or requested when making your reservation, so don't forget to ask for them, as it's a handy way to relax in your room in the late evening or in the morning before starting out for the day.

In all fairness, the young lady at the front desk when we arrived had offered us other identical rooms that were ready, which we declined because of their location, and because my wife and I are cigarette smokers, so the choice of smoking rooms is limited, as is usual in most hotels nowadays. She also kept us posted as to the status of our wait for the room, even to the point of coming out from behind the front desk with our room keycards to deliver them to us where we were seated in the lobby, when the room was finally ready. But it was a bit of a disappointment to start our trip with over an hour's wait for our prebooked room, and we wonder if they were a bit shorthanded in their housekeeping department as our room wasn't yet ready when we arrived.

Otherwise, the room was spotless and comfortable as usual, and the coffee maker was awaiting us when we got up to the room, along with the extra supplies of coffee I'd requested for our two night's stay. Dinner one night at St. Germain's Steakhouse was fine, and one note of change that we noted on this trip is that the familiar Weirs coffee shop near the hotel lobby wasn't open for its usual 24 hour use, rather it was only open from 2 AM to 3 PM, which limits us from getting a snack or even an early breakfast on our way back to our room from an evening of casino play. We were told that Weirs was only to open for 24 hours on nights when there were large shows scheduled in the casino's showroom.

One other change we saw on this trip is that they've moved the main front casino entrance nearer to the showroom's ticket booths in the rotunda but it appears the construction there is nearly complete.

Other then a very frustrating casino experience for us both on this trip, where my wife couldn't get a good win on any of her favorite slot machines, and the blackjack tables weren't too accommodating for me this trip either, still it was good to get away for a few days, and was a good stay at the Casino Rama hotel after a very slow start.

Room Tip: Try for a room well away from the very noisy ice machines and elevators for a quieter night's st...
