A romantic getaway this is not. We decided to visit Casino Rama having heard good things about the accommodations. We are not gamblers so we were more interested in the food and beverage and spa amenities for our weekend. The spa and pool area are excellent. The outdoor patio is small but nice. There is no mini bar in the room or a coffee maker. That's just weird. Went to the lobby bar and paid over $25 for a glass of wine and a cocktail. Drove into town to a liquor store (20 minutes). Went to the pool area with a beverage and asked for a plastic glass and was politely but assertively advised that security would be called if I didn't leave immediately. Weird. It wasn't that I had a drink. it was that only liquor from room service allowed. Dinner was tasty and service was quick but there were long line ups (25 min to 3 hour waits) at every outlet. The property is good value if you get one of the comps from gaming etc. but it is not worth the $329/night rack rate. With meals, spa treatment, room service and room we spent over $600. Not worth it.
