Recently stayed for two nights while hiking the Bruce Trail in the Lion's Head area. Doug is a great host. He and Marlene have a wonderful property that has a warm, relaxed feel to it. Lots of flowers, gardens, places to walk and sit - along with lush old trees everywhere. I stayed in the Far East room. There are 3 rooms in their new home, and these B&B accommodations include a good breakfast each morning that you can eat outside on the stone patio area or in a dedicated breakfast room. My room was spacious and clean; the bathroom was clean and well-appointed; the bed was completely comfortable. Wireless internet is decent. TV, if you choose to watch, is fine. I love ceiling fans, and the Far East room has a perfect, quiet fan. It's great for sleeping. There's also a hot tub outside. I used it on my last visit, but not this time around. It's great for sore muscles after a day on the rugged trails in the area. Doug provides an excellent hiker shuttle service if you need it. The only negative with the driving is it always seems too short - as I always enjoy conversation with Doug driving out to the various trailheads. So... the room is good, the property is wonderful, Doug & Marlene are gracious, friendly and professional hosts, coffee and breakfast are good, and the location is excellent for Bruce Trail hikers. What more could you ask for? Thanks again!
