Son wanted to visit this for four years and finally succumbed. So glad I did, the museum is simply amazing, the numbers and variety of tanks is immense and we spent 5 1/2 hours there!

The staff were great, the cafe was clean and reasonably priced and all in all - brilliant!

Highly recommend it.

This is great museum if you like military machinery, our 3 year old loved it, however mum gave it a miss. You can touch the tanks even have a ride on a tracked vehicle around the course out side. The entry fee is good considering you get free entry for another visit as long as it's within the same year as the first visit. This museum is located on a working military tank training base, so if your lucky you can see the British army's tanks and other tracked vehicles being put through their paces on the training area, which does have viewing points dotted along the road into Bovington.

This is the place for anyone interested in tanks and associated vehicles and their history. It is very well set out with plenty of signage and information. It is well worth having a guided tour, our guide was 1st class with so much knowledge and enthusiasm so much so he had a Ferrett scout car in his garage, not a car. The restaurant could be a bit more adventurous and the constant scraping of chairs was a bit annoying. A great day out and well worth a visit. Visited as a group.

I wasn't looking forward to this day out as tanks don't really do it for me but the ticket was a gift. Went with 2 children aged 4 and 7 and thought they would get bored.

The boys loved the tanks and equipment. The girls were a bit bored after seeing a couple of tanks, (and there are literally hundreds), but other exhibition areas - Afghanistan, War Horse and the Trenches were really interesting and informative.

The museum is modern, spacious, well set out and accessible. We did not come into contact with many staff, but those we saw were enthusiastic about the exhibits.

The café is big and reasonably priced.

We also had a ride in a rough terrain vehicle which cost extra but was good fun.

It is good value as the ticket can be used again over 12 months.

Very informative and there are exhibits to interest most people of all ages. My children are both under 7 and found the trenches fascinating.

Went back to the Tank Museum to take my 84 year old father for a late fathers day trip which coincided with Tankfest 2014. Way too much to see and do in just one day but we tried.

The action in the arena went on for most of the day with tanks from many different eras being driven around the course. It helped that the weather on the saturday was glorious.

Lots of living history exhibits as well as the museum itself which has always been one of my favourite places to visit. Display from the British Army showing off some of their latest hardware was impressive, especially the challenger 2.
