We checked into this big hotel on the 6th August. It had 3 blocks including a children's game arcade. Our room looked out to Lake Abashiri and was huge. It catered both the Japanese and Western choices, either to sleep on tatami or beds. Toilet, bath and wash basin were all separated into convenient individual units.
Toiletries including tooth and hair brushes, hair ties, disposable shavers and combs, simple skin care and hair care were provided.
The onsen was also very extensive, there were 3 pools with increasing temperatures, another small one of cold water and an outdoor one too.
But the dressing area provided only minimum simple skin care products.
Dinner was an above average kaiseki with crabs and sashimi included.
Buffet breakfast consisted 90% of Japanese food. The restaurant seemed to be running under staff, the sunshine eggs were very cold even at the start of the breakfast. Empty plates piling on the tables were not collected, maybe after guests leave?
The proprietress sent us off by waving a Singapore and a Malaysian flag. That was a thoughtful gesture as we are Singaporeans traveling with a Malaysian friend.
