We decided to stay at Fiesta Cove because none of the other hotels on Sugar Beach took our fancy from what we read on the internet. Our decision was based on the reviews on here as Fiesta Cove doesn't have a website. Not sure the reason why but it should as it's a really good place to stay for 1500 peso's per night for a room.
It may not have a restaurant or a bar but that's not a problem as there are other establishments nearby where you can eat and drink. It's located at the end of Sugar Beach and has four rooms, each with a balcony. The rooms are very homely and cosy and of a decent size and I would say out of the dozen or so hotels I've stayed at in the Philippines so far, this takes the gold medal for the best presented room. The staff too are very courteous and friendly.
Prices vary for the 30 minute boat ride from Sipalay City but the nearby resort of Sulu Sunset have a boat and charge 300 peso's one way. I don't think you'll get a cheaper ride than that to Sugar Beach unless you take the back route, but that isn't practical unless you can carry your luggage on a 15 minute walk. You will also need to take a trike from Sipalay City and a short boat ride across a lagoon to get there.
