The apartment is very tastefully designed, spotlessly clean and probably the best equiped of all the apartment we have ever rented. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, including spices and olive oils. I even baked a plum cake! Washing machine is also an advantage, especialy when holidaying with children. We made most of the large balcony with a stunning sea view (island Hvar is easily seen in distance). Chilling out every evening, listening to the buzzing cikads, smell of the sea and drinking delicious Peljesac vine was priceless.
The owner Slaven and his family were very friendly and hospitable.
The sea and nature surounding the location is breathtaking. We loved snorkeling and exploring the sea life in the bay every day, which in comparison with other beaches we tried, was undoubtably the richest and diverse from the whole island!!!!
Korcula town remainds me of a smaller version of Dubrovnik and is only half and hour away. We parked in the carpark of the new Tommy supermarket on the outskirts of Korcula town and walked to the centre (5 min. away).
There is a great supermarket (Konzum) in Blato which is only 10 minuts away.
The road leading to the apartment is first half tarmac and the rest is gravel, which was challenging at first but soon we mastered it. Getting to the island with car was easier than expected. The car ferries sail every hour and we never had to arrived earlier than half an hour before departure. It also relatively cheap.
Overall, we thouroughly enjoyed our stay at Slaven's apartment and would love to return at some point. I strongly recomend this apartment!!!
