We spent 2 nights at hotel Tony and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a beautiful 10 minute pier walk to the old town of Pag and is situated right on the water. As per previous comments the rooms are quite basic but clean and the balcony rooms are large and overlook the water, lovely. All the staff are super friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. The dining courtyard is delightful, again in the water, and the food was fabulous, particularly the seafood. Highly recommended as any affordable, great place to stay with atmosphere.

If you are expecting the Four Seasons, then you'll rate this a one-star. But if you want a simple, clean, no-frills hotel, in a small town on an island, with a great restaurant, a friendly, helpful staff (the proprietor speaks English very well), a decent-sized room, then follow the signs to Tony. Literally, follow the signs. It is a short distance from the "downtown" part of the City of Pag, but there are numerous signs to guide you down the right road. And make sure you throw back a glass of the house schnapps when you are there. Like the famous Pag land, the schnapps are seasoned with rosemary and sage (kadulja) and taste like warm, delicious focaccia bread!

Never having been to Croatia before we went with an open mind and chose the Island of Pag as our destination. We stayed at the Hotel Tony for 2 weeks, and right from the start when we were picked up from the airport by Dejan, (Tony's son) to the room with the balcony overlooking the sea, to the superb food every night for dinner, we couldn't have had a better time.

If fresh fish or calamari is your type of food then you couldn't better the restaurant. We even met the fishermen who were supplying us with dinner!

The hotel is 2* but the welcome from the family is definately in the 4* category. Try to visit outside the months of July and August, their peak season, so that you get the welcome from the Tony family and the visit we experienced.

We will be going back.

The first impression way terrible, the room was very small and everything was covered by dust, and there was mess under carpets, dead insects, spiders, bleah...The second impression, about the beach, the dirty water drained really next to the beach, most people did not care of it, but I do, it seemed dirty.
The restaurant is good, the only good point I give to Tony hotel.

The hotel is around 1Km far from the center, I travelled by bike, but thinking to do it walking, 1km go and 1 back, after a sunny day, really tired for the sun and the salty water, make me avoid thinking to this place.

Pag island is beautififul anyway, just go to another hotel.

Final note. While we were paying, to come home, they asked us money for 8 night... we did not recognize it immediately, beacause surely they know that having a different currecy, it is easy to rub money to foreing customers. But think of it, staying for sat to sat is 7 days to pay, not 8, they do this count every week for every room how can it be they were wrong? Disgusting.

Go to Pag, but don't go to Tony to sleep, just if you want go there to eat, it's a good restaurant.

No wonder that Croatia has so many fans...!!! We left Timisoara for Tony's not knowing much about but just some photos; 1 single review in Trip Advisor and advance paid for 10 days in PAG.
Now I can say that it was just a miracle. The staff...Tony is the favourite name(Ante) all the males in the family have this name: father, sons and uncle. Coming back to accomodation , meals , atmosphere and surrounding. Excelent!!! clean rooms , first class meals- the restaurant is the best fish restaurant in the island, hospitality and availability is something which is at high ranking over there. No wonder why they have customers for long lasting periods( we meet Italian family who were coming for 10 years there)! Surrounding- first time you enter Pag island over Paski most you feel entering on Dune or Moon.. The landscape is poor with less vegetation but in the same time somethig mysterious, exciting and gives you the "hypnosys" to watch over and over.
The waters are crystal clear with at least 2-3 degrees more than in other places. The beach is perfectly suited for childs. Like we , now, are getting aware about the great advantage we've had with our son, wandering around a small area without having any emotions to get lost!!!!!
We've had a great experience around island Pag as well being in 2 "excursions" one with uncle Toni- the boat captain - around island Pag- absolute excelent; and 1 day trip to Kornati Park arranged by young Toni with an excelent boat!

The 6 of us arrived to Hotel Tony in the morning at 8 o'clock, totally wasted ;), except the driver. They had only 2 rooms, so we decided that guys will sleep in one room, the girls in another. It was really fun, and the staff!! Thats another story. Tony and his father are the owners and they do most of the work around the Hotel. If u like when you are treated as a friend, this is the place for you. In the afternoon, we asked, which restaurant would they recommend us, but the answer was clear. We should stay in the Hotel. After we decided what we want for dinner, he asked for the ingridients from a fisherman. We had like 2 kgs of fresh shrimp and same amount of calamary for a very reasonable price. Tony also arranged for us for the second day a half-day trip on a motorboat, including some sightseeing, fishing and a few hour stay on a small island with a great restaurant on it. We had a really great time, the only problem was that we stayed only for 3 days :(
Altogether the Hotel was great and I wrote so much about our experiences only because we could only thank to Tony and his family that we had such a great time in Pag.
