We have eaten at Restaurant Hotel de France on several occassions in the past couple of years. Often this is on a Monday evening having just arrived in the area where we are fortunate enough to have a second home (Ozolles).
The food is always good (the plat du jour is of particularly good value if you fancy having lunch!) and the restaurant is a small, honourable and family-run affair.
Don't expect too many frills as it is quite quirky and traditional. However, your food will be tasty, regional and in season.
We love it.
I suppose 'wholesome' best sums up the excellent fayre and atmosphere.
