“Very good overall”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2014

Good, solid presentation and delivery. Could use another waitress or two as they were all running to keep up (in fairness it was the night before the fête and the place was full).

Would recommend and go there again.

The service was a bit slow, but only because they were understaffed for the night -- although this could also be policy

“Great Find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

We found this restaurant just wondering around St Quentin the concept of the food travelling from the butchers shop next door to the kitchen to the plate appealed to us and we were not disapointed. The food is absolutely delightful, the meat so tender even the prawns special. We stayed at LEsperou nearby for 4 nights, ate once at Julien2 and three times at the Boucherie,no better recommendation.

“Wholesome food and good value.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

St Quentin is a delightful large village that somehow reminds us of a Greek town! It has a few new shops by the market place, lots of potteries spread among the old houses, and excellent modern pottery gallery next to the museum . Well worth a visit and this new restaurant is a good place to eat lunch or dinner when there. A pleasant, shady courtyard, efficient service, good portions of well presented, tasty dishes and all at a very reasonable cost.

“An Unexpected Treat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

An appealing restaurant, opened in 2013 and occupying the courtyard behind the village butcher’s shop. The space has been attractively decorated with outdoor tables shaded by umbrellas, with an indoor area for bad weather. The service is brisk and friendly, and the prices are very moderate (19 to 23 Euros for the evening menu, with a good choice of plain dishes à la carte.) Most of the menu choices come directly from the butcher’s shop, and the young butcher himself acts as chef. So this is not an ideal eating place for vegetarians, although some salads are offered. The burgers are excellent and the entrecote above average. A short list of local wines provides good value for money. Open every day, lunch and dinner, during the season. Reservations recommended.

“Small Cafe in St Quentin la Poterie”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 August 2013

This is a quiet cafe tucked into the old part of St Quentin. It serves good fresh food and reasonably priced wines and is located in the courtyard of the former butcher's shop. Thus steaks and kebabs are high on the menu. Probably the best eating in the village.
