Visited in Aug 2013. The gorge is about 15 minutes easy walk from Servoz station and is well signposted. Plenty of free parking for thise with their own transport.Toilets available. Entrance to the gorge is through the gift shop.
The flows are at their highest in July and Aug. In other months the water board siphons off part of the flow for hydroelectric power.
The gorge hold its own against similar sites in Austria and Switzerland. Well worth a visit. Sturdy footwear recommended as you walk up through the forest and up steep steps and across metal and wooden bridges. The paths can get crowded as people are retracing their steps. There is lots of interesting information and great photo opportunities.
At the highest point you retrace your steps back down to the gift shop and cafe. The cafe serves the cheapest drinks by far in the Chamonix area. €2 for a coffee. They also serve crepes, salads and icecreams to eat in the pleasant garden. Didn't see any indoor seating but we were there on a hot day. The nice touch is that you can eat your own picnic in the garden providing you buy a drink.
This attraction has a 'family run' feel to it and appeals to all ages but you need to be mobile to cope with the walking and climbing. Not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. Dogs allowed on a lead.
Would recommend. Allow at least 2 hours.

Les Gorges de la Diosaz has a lot to compete with being amongst the giant attractions in the Chamonix - Mont Blanc region. The walk up the gorge is best done in July/August when the waterflow is at its greatest and the cascades are at their most spectacular. The route is along natural paths, wooden walkways and bridges that cross and recross the gorge. The total ascent is approx 1.5 km with a 130m height gain; when you reach the end you turn round and retrace your steps There are information boards along the way telling you about plant / animal life; geological features; history of the area and other interesting facts. The entrance fee when I visited was 5.50 euros per adult. There is a small souvenir shop and cafe. This attraction is signposted from the main road and is not hard to find. I recommend a visit.

An interesting and safe gorge walk over bridges and on cliff hugging paths over deep drops. Good water flow in August and some pretty decent waterfalls. Walk climbs to a fixed point and return the same way. Plenty of places to sit and lovely forests. Entrance fee is 5 euros for adults. Gift shop, cafe and toilets at entrance. Plenty of parking. Worth a visit.
