Just returned from this hotel after a weeks skiing, the hotel is in a ideal location on side of piste so ski in & out is great, it's ideal for large school groups and not couples & smaller groups. The hotel was full of school children when we went it was noisy in the mornings with shouting & knocking on doors plus the dining room in the mornings was full of children so not ideal for us, the evening meals was terrible with only two options the quality of food is poor. But the skiing area is fantastic ! Village a little quite for us not much apre ski going on but we did enjoy the skiing .

Just returned from a lovely week , booked with a great travel agency, Travel with Kare in Wyke Bradford, through rocket ski. This hotel is very well positioned and clean and tidy with helpful staff and great skiing. Unfortunately the beer was terrible so we had a very sober week.

Went back with a party of 7 and had a great time. Hotel is warm, comfortable and rooms have a bath and balcony. Bar is very pleasant and welcoming. The new Manager, Loic, runs the hotel very well and the food was fine. The ROCKETSKI staff are all pleasent and helpful. The hotel has its own ski and boot shop and a Ski tech who was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Location of the hotel is great and the main Les Sybelles lift is a short walk and ski away. You can ski back to the hotel easily. There are 310 km of runs, which are well cared for and very little if any waiting at lifts. There are a number of pomma lifts which are quick to get about Le Corbier. The best area is St Sorlin where the snow is always good and there are great on and off piste runs.
One of the party went for lessons and was very pleased.
Le Corbier is quiet at night. L'Arpage restaurant was very good on the hotel staff night off.

Room Tip: The south facing rooms on floors 3 and 4 (306/7 and 406/7) have balconies catching the sun.

The ski package was one of the best deals going at the time we booked. The hotel was well positioned approximately 100m from the main Sybelles Express chair lift. The accommodation exceeded expectations and the bar was average priced for the resort. The package was half board Incl. Breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was continental with small selection of cold meats, croissants, cereals, porridge, coffee etc. The evening meals were 3 course with two choices in most cases. It could have been difficult, but they was always something us and the kids wanted and every single meal was outstanding. The kitchen staff are wonderful! All of the staff were English, mostly on gap years. They were all friendly and always tried their best! The manager was French and outstanding effort was given at all times. The customer service guy was fantastic and really wanted to help also.... He even put on karaoke the one night! Having seen the other accommodation options in Le Corbier, I reckon this was probably one of the better choices. We met others that had rented self catering and they were envious of us..... Eating out is expensive. We went to a restaurant called Le Fontaine which was great! We ordered the Racallette and the beef fondue....excellent! Skiing is reasonable, but being the first week it was initially a bit thin but massive dump half way through. Your ski pass allows you to use all "6" resorts, so if you are hardcore, you have lots of choice! Great staff, good value! My suggestion for next year would be to offer a full board option or all inclusive for an extra fee of course?

Well, what can I say positive about this hotel.

Cheap accomodation, I have been told that "You get what you pay for" this is so true when it comes to this hotel.

First of all staff are generally on a gap year, young and inexperienced in the hospitality world so I do not in any way want to dis them.

Rooms were basic, no facilities and for the quad room 2 of us had to sleep in a loft type platform with a very steep narrow set of steps, you couldnt stand up straight in here and I am only 5' 8''.
Also dark and dingy all the time.

Food was cooked by the previously mentioned gap year staff, even if you are not the fussiest, like me, you will find it hard to attempt most evenings meals, very bland and hard to tell what is served most times, breakfast was continetal style and adequate.

The hotel itself is relatively clean and tidy with nice bar area to relax, it is in a very good location, you can ski back to the hotel from the slopes, doing a little off piste.

The hotel mainly caters for school skiing trips, which to be fair had no effect on the holiday at all, the kids were well mannered and behaved and even lightened the evenings up with practical jokes on their friends.

If you are looking for a good standard of accomodation with nice food do not go here, if you want a base for some really good skiing on and off piste and are not too worried about having to eat out then this is an ideal place.

Room Tip: Do not have a quad room, go for 2 twins or doubles instead, worth the extra cost.

just got back from le corbier 14 of us went skiing all of us had a great time we booked with rocket ski and the service was great we dealt with carla who was very good at sorting out any problems. the hotel was clean and tidy the staff was very helpfull and the food was nice there was allways plenty never walked away hungry the rooms are very big and warm.the resort it self is ok there are a lot of drag lfts and the chairlifts are very slow you can lose the will to live buy the time you get to the top as for the slopes there are plenty of them and there are a good variety ot them for every level of skier and theres plenty of off piste you need someone who is good at reading a piste map becuase you can get lost quite quckly if you dont get back to your side by 4pm it will cost you a fortune to get you back to your resort the resturants on the slopes are very reasonable panini chips and coffee is about10 euros a beer is about 5 euros i hope this is helpfull ive been skiing for years and this resort is a mid range resort.

As a member of a large school group, I wasn't expecting much in the way of accommodation or food choice, but I was wrong. The accommodation, although basic, was functional, clean and did the job. When a bulb didn't work and my sheet didn't stay on my mattress, Simon had the issues addressed within the hour. Kitting two schools out with equipment is no easy task, but it was done with ease and accuracy. Thierry, the Hotel Manager couldn't have been more helpful either. He sat with the guests and chatted about their day on the slopes, he made sure the fire was on in the bar for the guests to relax around after a busy day and nothing was too much trouble. The service was excellent. The food - breakfast was porridge, cereals, ham, cheese, bread, fruit. All were neatly laid out for you to help yourself. There was more than enough to eat and that continued throughout every meal time. Not once did we have a meal served up that was not to anyone's liking. The food ranged from lasagne, soups, tartiflette, fish and chips etc. House wine (red and white) was served with the evening meal too. The only downsides to the hotel was the poor lighting - they were on a timer and it was a pain to have to try and hobble to the light switch whilst putting your snow boot! The bar area was small for the size of the hotel and there wasn't a designated area for the children to play/congregate, so they had to use the bar area. There's not a great deal of evening entertainment either in the hotel or in the resort, but it was fine for a school party. The resort catered for beginners through to advanced and the facilities were excellent - including our ski instructor. I would have no hesitation in recommending this resort for families and school ski groups.
