This hotel is located a little bit outside of the city. By foot you will need 15-20 minutes. You can also go by car, a parking lot is there however it is a little bit small. Directly in front of the exit of the parking lot is a bus stop which you can also use to go to the city.
You can enter the hotel from the entrance on the parking lot or from one of the higher entrance as the hotel is built into a small hill. That leads to the only downturn of this hotel: the reception is on the first floor but is a little difficult to find from the parking lot. The floor is not lit fully and the sign reading reception is a little bit misleading. This could be improved.
The hotel is an older one however this can not be seen as it is well-kept. We had a kind of special room, one directly under the roof in the most upper floor. I do not know if they have guests up their normally as the stair also leads to the private rooms of the family.
The room was very nice, had a large bed and a small TV. There were also cooking facilities (however not turned on) which we did not use, a nice bathrrom and a corner to sit with small benches. All looked very inviting and cozy. Sleep comfort was very good, nothing to be heard of the street. However on one night at two am I heard some noises from some other room. It was valentines day by the way... ;)
Breakfast is good. On the table you will find bread and rolls as well as coffe/tea and orange juice. They will bring you a plate with stuff for your bread like cheese and so on. However as there is no buffet to get things on your own (except cereals, yoghurt and fruits) we had the situation that if they forget you, you have to wait some time until you find somebody to bring you your stuff. But this happened only once to us.
They also have a restaurant, reservations recommended also for guests as otherwise you will not get a table. We did not try so don't ask me about it.
I can recommend this hotel for people who do not need to stay in the city centre. Oh, one note to German customers: if you have a new bank card from your local bank, there might be a problem. We both had the latest version of the Volksbank card and it was not possible to pay with it. The cards have not been recognized. We had to go to the city centre and get cash!
They do not take credit cards!
