Gimbacher Hof is a lovely, cozy restaurant in beautiful surroundings. There are a number of great walking trails leading there, & when you arrive you are greeted with a rustic interior, a great garden with a playground, wonderful cake & good food. We were most recently here with a large group, & the service was attentive & speedy. A great family day out!

It's an old farm with home-made apple wine.
The beergarten is beautifull, you feel like being sitting in a painting of Degas or Monet.
There's a playground and some animals for the kids.
They offer delicious home made cakes. Very fresh.
The dishes are regional, but they also offer schnitzel and steak.
The restaurant is located next to the forest. Walk 30 min from Kelkheim center, 1 h from Lorsbach center, 1.5 h from Hofheim center.

Hof Gimbach buzzes with families, bike tour groups, joggers, children, riders and locals enjoying the food overlooking green flowing fields. A tranquil place to be. I just had a soup and tried the Kaiserschmarrn. Unfortunately the Kaiserschmarrn was just a hacked up pancake but it was filling and sweet. When here and you're with a group be sure to reserve a table!
