Owner description: Seatrek offers unforgettable boat trips to St Kilda and around the Uig coast, Isle of Lewis (Stornoway) and Outer Hebrides. Whether your interest is in wildlife trips, a special charter or our family trips - we aim to please. We have boats operating in the waters west of the Hebrides for most of the summer season, taking people to remote and spectacular locations.

August 2016. Wear warm clothes they said, and when you arrive you are knitted out in waterproofs and life jacket.
Two hours of interest for myself and two lads 16 and 12. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
Sea Eagle. Seals, gannets and too many seabirds for me to name.
Local history and knowledgeable operators retained the interest.
Would I go again? Absolutely!

Thank Mike G

We visited St Kilda at the beginning of July. Lochlann was a very comfortable boat and the crew were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and attentive. Four hours ashore gave ample opportunity to visit the main sites and to walk to the cliffs on the north coast of Hirta. After leaving Hirta the trip round some of the stacks to see the birds was an unexpected bonus.
A very worthwhile part of our holiday.

We signed up for the 3 hour Island Trip which consisted of an hour warching wildlife such as dolphins, puffins and skuas, then an hour on the deserted Little Bernera Island then an hour back among the wildlife. It was a great time and not taxing physically. Both my wife and myself are in our sixties and have mobility problems so getting in and out of the RIB on the beach at Little Bernera was possible but not in any way dignified. But an exhilarating time which I thoroughly recommend.

It was a wet day and we wondered if we were doing the right thing taking to the water but it turned out just fine. All togged up in our wet weather gear c/o Seatrek we set off down the loch. We saw sea eagles, seals and herons. We visited the salmon fishery and hauled up a lobster pot to find two crabs there. The whole set up was professional and above all safe. So don't let the weather put you off and get out there. A special thank you to Lynne who gave us a great welcome and was very knowledgable

We did this whilst staying at Rodel. What a brilliant couple of hours, although we didn't see any whales, dolphins or eagles. We did see plenty to make it a brilliant trip (nature is nature so don't expect to see anything) as the speed and waves brought huge smiles across all of our faces (two boys 9 & 12....our eldest used to be scared of fast RIB's......not now).

Murray and Andrew were extremely knowledgable and were brilliant (Murray even mentioned in the Coffin Road book my wife was reading during the holiday, although only got to that page after we went on the trip.......)

Leave yourself at least two hours to get to Uig if travelling from Rodel. We didn't !!!

Well worth it ..... so give it a go
