We stayed here for only one night. It is in the middle of Winningen, just one block from the Mosel River. It looks as if it has been recently renovated. The rooms were certainly the largest and the most interesting, design-wise, of our stay in Germany. The bathroom light seemed not to work at first, but it takes a while to come completely 'on', which is a nice touch, so you are not blinded by it in the middle of the night. Also, while our shower curtain was all the way to the floor, there was water on the floor after showering, which seems inevitable, I guess, with a fabric shower curtain. There is no hair dryer available in the room. Free wi-fi was included in our stay, as was the breakfast buffet, which, while certainly not the most plentiful or tastiest of our tour, it did the job of getting us going in the morning. There was plenty of parking under the bridge, just one block from the hotel, even when we arrived after 9pm, although I kept thinking that if we had been there on a weekend or further into the peak season, that may not have been the case. The receptionist's welcome was certainly not the warmest we've ever encountered, and while she did her job efficiently, I think a little more friendliness wouldn't hurt at a hotel.
I would certainly stay here again, especially at the great rate we got!
