Spotless Hotel and room interiors. Incredibly beautiful and quiet location, great to visit Moselle castles or motorcycle touring. Room spacious and very clean. Nice Shower. Friendly Owner and Staff.

but

Internet speed was dreadful, couldnt even watch Youtube videos. No international channels on TV. When arrived for breakfast about half an hour before the end time, not full choice was available, but still good enough.

Room Tip: Dont expect fast internet and go for breakfast early!

We recently spent 7 nights in Nora Emmerich's Hotel in this picturesque village of Winningen on the Mossel river in Germany. wow, what a welcome we received from Nora and the hopitality from all her staff. The hotel was immaculate, modern and suited our needs perectly. Nora'a breakfast buffet was oustanding.
As we are bikers we were made very welcome also the offer to shelter our bike in a garage was very appreciated.
Very friendly people. thank you.

Room Tip: A room with a view and enjoying the morning sun.

Near Koblenz and situated 500 yards above the village of Winningen is the small, clean and friendly Hotel Nora Emmerich, a delightful resting place over looking the wine fields of the Mossel region. Clean and far enough from the village for you to exercise after taking a meal in one of the many first class restaurants located down in the village centre. The hotel has no restaurant but provides an excellent continental breakfast buffet.
The owner, Nora, is a most helpful lady. The bar used to be open all hours but is now closed forever but guests may buy wine by the bottle and drink either in or on the beautiful terrace.

Room Tip: All rooms are fairly basic but all are spotlessly clean and enjoy the normal facilities

We arrived at Winningen late at night (10 p.m.) with nowhere to sleep. A man we asked for room to sleep, said he had none available, but he could call his friend, Nora. So he did, and she had one room left. At the hotel, we met a warm, welcoming and service-minded woman, who turned out to be the owner.
The hotel room was clean and spacy, and great for two tired souls who had been on the road for almost 30 hours.
It's a 5-10 minutes walk to the centrum (which was a very quiet town), and parking just outside the hotel.

The hotel is about a ten minute hike uphill from the town center, which is a good thing if you're inclined to eat at a local restaurant. Our host, Nora, was very gracious and friendly. She prepares an excellent breakfast for travellers which includes a delicious offering of scrambled eggs. The rooms are "botique" size; read that, not designed for louinging with book. WiFi is most reliable in the room where breakfast is served. The usual ammenities are provided, sans, English tv broadcasts. The only thing I can fault the Emmerich for, is a fairly significant concern. The room heating system is on an automatic timer, which for some reason, shuts off at 7:00 pm. This wouldn't be bad in the summertime, but if you need to make a trip to the privvy in the wee-small hours of early spring or late fall, it could cause some discomfort.
In all fairness to Nora, she did try to remedy the problem on the last night of our stay.
