This lovely property has a perfect combination of rustic and modern. The trullo part with the traditional stone roof (bedroom) looks untouched (apart from fresh paint and polished floors). The rest of the property has been refurbished to a high and modern standard and has air conditioning, which is a real plus. The house has everything you need - bedding, towels, washing machine - a real home from home!
We stayed for a week with our 2 children. They were perfectly entertained with lots of space to run and play and could chill and watch tv and dvds when it became too hot. We also had use of the pool, which was perfect for the days that we didn't feel like going down to the beach (which is about a half hour drive away). There was a festival on at the time we visited in the local town (Cisternino) which the kids loved. Lots of places for a bite out and take away pizza to die for!
We hired a car (from the airport) which is definitely required for this area as it quite remote. The drive down the quiet and windy country roads is lovely. You can definitely absorb lots of fresh country air and the views of rows and rows of olive groves are amazing.
We will definitely be visiting this spot again!
We travelled as a family, 2 adults 2 children (12 and 14), for a week to chill out and reconnect as a family - which is exactly what we did! The house is beautiful with fabulous views, and everything you could possibly need, and more. Cisternino is a fabulous little town a short drive away with a wonderful weekly market. There are lovely shops bars and restaurants. Local supermarket (cheap as chips) just down the road with a petrol station close by. The town of Cisternino has a lovely welcoming feel. We managed to get out and about and see a good bit of the area, Locorotondo, Allberobello, Oustuni, few local beaches - this is truly a beautiful part of the world!
The house is fantastic with more than you will need, the lovely Renata is truly amazing - nothing is too much trouble.
This was our first trip to Italy and we are so pleased we chose this location as we experienced the 'real' Italy! Fantastic food, delicious wines and totally laid back way of life!
We would return here in a heart beat - if you're looking to experience Italy this is the place for you.
Myself and my wife stayed here for 10 days. It is only about 10 min drive from Cisternino
It is in a nice remote area and cooking and eating outside was great.
It is also a great base for touring the area
With the WIFI we could listen to the music we like while relaxing at the outside table under the shade of the trees.
Cisternino is a lovely town where we got our fresh bread and supplies in the morning.
There is also a place where they make wine in Cisternino and you can go there with your container and they will fill it up for you. I saw one man come in with a 25 liter container!!!!
