You will find Re Sole on the way to Leuca, very close to the see, and make sure you stop there for a great, original, local lunch or dinner. The chef and the daughter Federica are great hosts. We had dinner twice there this summer. Restaurant specialties are a massive and massively good set of appetizers - spanning from oysters to mussels, from local specialties such as Tajedda (a cake with seafood and potatoes) to raw shrimps - and home made pastas (a must is the black one with seafood sauce). The proposed fish plates are great too. Make sure also to try "sarago al cartoccio" (a white fish cooked in the hoven with a special recipe).
Together with the outstanding quality of raw materials and recipes, the ambient is chilled and very nice, with tables overlooking a garden with olive trees. We enjoyed it there so much that we went back. We spent around EUR 25 with wine, very solid value for money.
