It's is a nice, cosy, charming hotel in the middle of the village center. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice. Just the bed was a little bit small for me. The hotel is situated near some nice restaurants.

I stayed here traveling alone and it was a pleasure. The staff is helpful and positive. The rooms are clean. The location cannot be beat. The only reason It didnt get 5 stars is that the bed (for me) was not comfortable. Perhaps one could supply some mattress pads or
toppers to give more cushion!!
Best of luck!

Room Tip: I stayed in the "love nest" suite. Plenty of room for my clothes, papers, luggage and a small balcony.

A good, confortable, spacious hotel. Located in the heart of Galatina, Apulia.
Surrounded by baroque buildings and churches, it offers good, clean and spacious rooms. Silent for sleeping and classic elegant inside
Personnel is kind and helpful. Parking can be done or in the close square, for free (in the night) or in a private garage, with a not so small price.

My wife first approach was skeptical but the character of the room and kindness of the staff change completely her judgment. Nice hotel in historical building, i suggest the view from the roof at sunset time. Located in the heart of Galatina a pretty little town with own cultural live.

Upon arrival at the Palazzo Baldi you feel as if you've been transported back to a 19th Century aristocratic residence with a charming hotel entrance and lobby. We were greeted by a really friendly and informative receptionist who took our luggage to our room and helped with the pre-booked car parking.

We had booked one of the suites and were in the sun suite on the top floor. We booked this because it came with a kitchenette and a terrace.

Unfortunately, the room - and by extension the hotel - has so much potential but was just a let down.

Starting with the kitchenette: it had a sink, cooker and fridge but no crockery or cutlery and only one glass and a wine glass. There was a stocked mini bar but if you did want to enjoy a beer there was no bottle opener to open them so you best have strong teeth!

The bathroom was very basic with a shower over the long wall of the bath (rather than the top) which limited the space to shower which was made worse by the shower curtain being both too short to cover the whole width of the bath and so long that it dragged along the bath acting as a trip hazard. Another bug bear was the location of the sink where there was no rail for a towel.

Then there was the terrace. This had a table and chairs as well as seats to sit in the sun. Sounds great but it looked very tired and water collected at the entrance from the room which you had to jump over to avoid and we're sure it was a breeding ground for the mosquitoes that we couldn't escape.

We complained about the glasses, the flooded bathroom and the lack of bottle opener all of which were resolved promptly and quickly; but these are problems we shouldn't have to encounter.

The one saving grace of the hotel are the staff. Every single staff member we encountered were friendly, informative and helpful but unfortunately not even they could overcome the tired decor and facilities of the hotel.

Dear Mr. Matthew,
thank you so much to have reviewed our Hotel.
We appreciate all type of observations, especially when these help to improve us.

We are so sorry for the lack of glass and corkscrew in your room; we immediately note it to our cleaning Staff that apologize for the inconvenience.

We also noted the problem you had with bathtub and we are looking for the best solution for our Guests.

Instead, allow me to answer some of your observations, hoping to be helpful to future Guests.

The Suite Rooms (and also some standard rooms) are equipped with kitchenette; We voluntarily not equip the rooms with kitchenware for hygienic reasons. We supply the kitchenette at request and for free. Kitchenette are equipped at arrivals only for formula residence stay.

The private Terrace of your Suite (40 sq.m.) was equipped with 4 chairs, 1 table, a double chaiselongue made of rattan, parasol, 6 citrus trees, and all furniture were bought 4 months ago.

We just provided to resolve the little water leak at the entrance of the terrace caused by the irrigation system of the trees.

At last, all furnitures of Hotel Palazzo Baldi (inside the rooms and lobby) are antique trade of the 18th century; It is very different from worn as you said.

Anyway, We really appreciate your good words about our Staff and we assure you and all the Guests that we are working every day and every year to improve our structure with new services and comforts.

Hoping to see you again in our Hotel also to prove you that we are better than what you saw, we send you our best regards.
