“Real Italian Night Life Outside Your Window”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

We began a 2 week trip in Italy with our stay at Palazzo Indelli and what a treat it was! The room was spotlessly clean and bright with a balcony overlooking the Piazza.

The bed was comfortable and the room was large enough to unpack and organize.

The staff in the restaurant below was attentive and friendly and the food was delicious - not to mention the wine they recommended!

Choose the Palazzo Indelli an you won't regret the visit!

We stayed here 10th May for 1 night. Great location right on the piazza and just round the corner from the sea and harbour. In the old town with its cobbled streets and full of atmosphere. The hotel is fabulous and we were upgraded to a junior suite overlooking the piazza with a communal balcony divided by potted plants to rooms on either side. The weather was gorgeous and the parasol was really welcome and we sat at the table and chairs watching the world go by beneath us.We ate in the hotel restaurant and had the warm seafood salad and rossoto. It was my husbands birthday and the hotel was lovely and even if only 1 night we left with amazing memories.

Room Tip: Book a room overlooking the pizza but be prepared to hear the atmosphere well into the early hours...

I've recently stayed at the Palazzo Indelli for 3 nights. I have to state that it was a rather lovely experience. Right in the "centro storico" and near the town port. Fabulous restaurant. Maybe a little expensive for some but definitely worth it. The rooms are awesome. My room had ceilings that were at least 8-10 meters in height. I have never been in a hotel room with a ceiling that high.At first it made me nervous because I don't like rooms with high ceilings (phobia) but I soon became accustomed to it. The room was also very large, extremely clean and nothing out of place. I highly recommend this hotel if you are passing through Monopoli. A must! The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Wonderful customer service!

Room Tip: Room 114 is lovey and no noise.

My wife and I stayed here for 8 days at the end of September. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room had very high ceilings and was always spotlessly clean. The air conditioning worked great, which is not usually the case in other Italian hotels we have stayed.
We took the half-board option and were introduced to a variety of local specialties by the in-house locanda. Their chef is skilled and the waiters were friendly and attentive. You can sit outside and take in the Piazza Garibaldi action while dining, too.
The breakfast was more than sufficient and was replenished during the service, so if you came late there was still plenty to eat.
Monopoli is centrally located for all our touring, which we did mostly by bicycle. It took almost no time to "get out of town" and into the countryside.
I have already sent friends to Palazzo Indelli and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the piazza can be noisy on the weekends, but they do have gorgeous terraces.

Very nice hotel and good restaurant with perfect location in the piazza in old town. The room was clean, only we had a window facing inner yard. There was a lot of fun in piazza near the hotel - musicians playing every evening, people enjoying night out, singing, dancing... There is a car parking near the hotel in the harbor were fishing boats are coming from the sea with fresh seafood.:)

We spent five days in Monopoli after travelling around Salento and we were very well impressed by the beauty of this town. The historic area is a mix between a fishing village and Ostuni small alleys. The hotel overlooks Piazza Garibaldi so to get here, if you are driving, ensure you leave the car in the spacious free parking in Via Cristoforo Colombo. It will take you no more than one minute to get to the hotel.
We booked our stay through booking.com and after reading few reviews on trip-advisor, I specially requested to the hotel a room with view (any view as long as it was worth it). Unfortunately when we got here we discovered that our room was overlooking an internal footpath to other rooms, so it was impossible to keep the window open or enjoy any kind of landscape. I was very disappointed but as soon as I spoke to the hotel's owner, she was so kind to manage to find us another room, this time with the view of the back yard of a church, right at the back of the hotel. This was definitely spot on as that area is extremely quiet.
The room has with very high ceiling, was clean and quite comfortable.
Overall the positives have been:
- superb location
- kind staff
- beautiful building structure
- clean
Overall the negatives have been:
- being located on the main piazzetta, can be very loud in the evening, at least until 11.30 pm but if your room is located at the back of the structure, then it's much more quiet
- ensure you understand which room you have been assigned, as the one overlooking the internal footpath can be quite depressing if you are here on holiday ( probably ok if on business trip)
- to get to the internal footpath there is a door that is kept closed however this mean that it is slammed back and forward every morning from 8am onwards - this was definitely waking us up every morning earlier than expected; on top of that the room's doors do not have a proper handle so you can hear every single door on your floor when closing
- breakfast: not as rich as in other 4stars we have visited before, but good enough; I would have expected this to be served on the beautiful piazzetta but unfortunately the main room is inside, without any "spectacular" surrounding

Overall Monopoli is a great starting point to visit other area, reachable in no more than 1-1.5h:
- Ostuni
- Locorotondo
- Alberobello
- Polignano a mare
- Matera
- Castel Del Monte
- Trani

Good location in the pedestrian area next to the fishing port facing the old town's busiest piazza. Our room was small, bathroom though good. The hotel facilities recently built in an old historic building. Room Tip: Noise from the night life on the piazza may penetrate to the rooms facing the piazza. On the other h...
